It is June 5th 2009 and I have been trying since December 31, 2008to get this refrigerator fixed.  The left side bottom compartment keeps changing temperatures from minus 10 degrees to 40 degrees.  Whatever I put in spoils because the temperature will change.  I bought an extended warrenty thank goodness because Samsung would not fix it.  They made one trip out after 5 weeks of calling and didn't return.  After that the one year warrenty was up and the extended company replaced the sensor.  It lasted 3 days.  All the repair people I talked to said Samsung would not pay them to work so they would not come out.  I will never buy another Samsung product of any kind again.

Cons: Durability far worse of any appliance we have ever owned.

Temp. on display shows program temp. but not actual temp in freezer or refrigerator. Will cool after reset by unplugging the appliance but then quits working again. Only blower will run, no compressor. Food spoiled as appliance warmed to room temp.

Service rep came to investigate and ordered new $300 control board. No guarantee it is the solution, but has replaced these boards for several owners of this recent but low sales model. Suggest high failure rate.

Ridiculous for a 20 month old $2600 appliance to quit working. Samsung has no interest in responding and no conscience. no wonder most people avoid their products.

Pros: 4 different setting temperatures in four different spaces.
Cons: Do not go above 46F for cheese and cabernet. Freezer not convertible.

Most fridge are big and stupid. This one is intelligent. But it better at managing lower temperatures than higher temperature like for cheese and cabernet. One drawer will keep your meat at 23F for long period of time (Soft Freeze) without freezing it. The other drawer can keep your fish just below water freezing temperature at 30F (Chill) without freezing it. The only limitation is than it won't go around 55F for cheese ans wine. Also the freezer is not convertible. A freezer today, to me, is a waste. I buy fresh food. I do not freeze anything beside icecream. Forget the ice maker. It is a waste like with all other refrigerator. One needs a separate ice maker to make ice cubs if one is serious about good ice cubs. Other than that is the perfect refrigerator.

Pros: it looks sleek and 4 separate compartments is a plus
Cons: don't have 24" counter depth version, measure space and make a decision based on that

just get one from Lowe's and bring it home I have a 36" door and I had to take off handles and lower drawer ends to get in the house.
