Scattante 03 Altec2

Pros: great value for the dollar, great Supergo service
Cons: they quit making it

As this was my first bike in 35 years, I knew nothing about bikes, tires, etc. I trusted the people at Supergo, and that trust has been well founded. They didn't force the sale, and had a lot of patience and helpful suggestions.

Now, after 6 months, a bike fit, a couple tri's, several friends who have bought various styles of Scattante, and a couple century rides later, I can suggest the Scattante brand to anyone looking to buy.

The (discontinued) Altec 2 specifically, with the Columbus aluminum frame combined with Shimano Ultegra hardware, the carbon seat stay, front fork, and seat post, has proven to be a great bike for me, to not only learn on, but in the race.
