Does it get any cooler?

by markadamowicz , Nov 22 '00
Pros: Coolest Bike of all time
Cons: 50 mile work commute means I still have to drive a car
Let me first start out by saying I don't own one of these nor have I ever owned one. In fact, before a couple of weeks ago, I hadn't mentioned or heard the word Schwinn since my freestylin' days of the 80's. I was looking through an issue of Maxim and...

Retro Style is Back Baby!

by sammy_marvelle , Oct 09 '01
Pros: One of the coolest bikes ever produced
Cons: Not a speed demon, kind of uncomfortable if you are taller than 4'10"

a good effort
by karfer67 ,Sep 16 '04
Pros: paint, seat, frame, tires, grips
Cons: one speed, fork, price
i was really excitted when i heard that schwinn was going to repop the krate. i liked it when i saw it and it rides very well. there are a few areas where i feel that schwinn should have done things differently. first off it is a one speed, i know there were one speed krates but everyone wants a 5 speed and i feel that is how it should have been set up. second is the fork which i feel is both incorrect, and feels a little cheap. other than that it is an excellent bike and great for a collector who wants one to ride around on and not worry about getting scratched
