We bought the Flight for our 7 year old daughter, She had a 16" bike that she had outgrown and the Schwinn flight was a perfect fit for her. We showed her the girl's version, the Starlet, but she wanted something that didn't look so "girly" since she rides with her older brother and all their friends are boys. The Flight sits lower and has a lower standover than most other 20" bikes, making it easy for her as well as safer in the event she has to stop quickly. The components are high quality, and the bike is sharp looking. I agree that there were some adjustments to be made upon getting the bike home, but even with that, it is a great little bike. Perfect for a young rider but not recommended for the older child looking for a true BMX.
