by popsrocks popsrocks is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Home and Garden, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Jun 21 '04
Pros: Little maintenance and easy to use.
Cons: I wish they had a self-propelled unit. ; )
I have no cons on this one.
When it comes to mundane, at least to me, chores in the garden like adding fertilizer, grass seed and other products I like to get it over with quickly and as painlessly as possible. I must also admit that my goal for a lawn is GREEN. I don't need a ...

Pros: Solid, Economic, Performer
Cons: Plastic Wheels
Nutz & Boltz The Scott Speedy Green 3000 is a utilitarian dream. Not only is it light, easy to maintain and conveniently stored…it works beautifully! I should mention now that this Scotts Speedy Green 3000 is a stripped down unit that would ...

A good spreader, but not a great one.

by golferinfr Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Jun 25 '04
Pros: Excellent on flat land.
Cons: Plastic tires have no give when you hit a bump.
I had to buy a spreader on my mowing route last month because a special customer wanted to get fertilized and I thought I could use another in my lawn care arsenal. Well I was kinda disappointed. This Scotts Speedy 3000 is an alright spreader for ...

Scotts SpeedyGreen 3000 - You too can have your own green thumb...

by jag2112 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, May 31 '01
Pros: Even distribution of fertilizer/seeds. Easy to operate. Durable.
Cons: Flow-control mechanism a little flaky. Plastic tires don't grip well enough.
Lawn Maintenance.

To some, it's a chore. To others, a science. And still others, an art form. But regardless of how you view the task of maintaining your lawn and keeping it weed-free, there is one aspect that most people agree on -...

Be Your Own Lawn Doctor with a Broadcast Spreader

by DiamondDave , Oct 03 '00
Pros: lightweight, large, easy to clean plastic hopper
Cons: door could jam if you try to put the wrong stuff through it
For decades suburbanites have lusted for the greenest of green lawns. Before you plunk down a large wad of cash for a service to come out to spray chemicals on your lawn, consider a good broadcast spreader. You can probably do a fine job yourself, and...

Spreads Like Butter

by andyvegas , Oct 26 '00
Pros: Easy to set correctly
Cons: Does not work autonomously
I do not have the best lawn on my street. Not by a long shot. Even so, I do want to at least keep my grass alive and more or less weed-free. To do this, I needed a spreader. Being somewhat cheap, I first bought a handheld spreader. With this, I...

just right for bigger jobs

by raven355 , Jan 09 '01
Pros: light weight and easy to use
Cons: none found
I have this Scotts speedy green spreader 3000 here at my house. Actually at first I had the smaller unit, (1000) and brought it back to the store and exchanged it or the 3000 model.

Why? Well for one thing the hopper is much larger than most...

Spreadin' the Love

by monokote , Apr 25 '02
Pros: Easy to use, light weight, zero maintenance
Cons: Wheels are a bit jabberwocky
The Scott's Speedy Green 3000 makes a rather mundane portion of lawn care a bit more palatable.

Don't get me wrong - I love a nice green lawn just like the next guy but fertilizing is just one of those things that is a necessary evil for those...

Good product with minor drawback

by teddymines , May 13 '02
Pros: Lightweight, easy to clean
Cons: Inconsistent rate with lumpy media
I've used one for the past 2 years and am generally happy with it. The only drawback is the fact that the stirrer inside does not chop up clumps by the valve. This means that sometimes a clump of fertilizer can sit over the opening and decrease the flow...

Spread fast, spread easy with the Scotts SpeedyGreen 3000.

by peterskm , Aug 05 '01
Pros: Easy to use durable.
Cons: A little expensive.
My first dealings with spreaders were all bad. Prior to my purchasing the SpeedyGreen broadcast spreader, I had only used drop spreaders. Drop spreaders are great if you are a person who is meticulous and likes to spend a lot of time fertilizing....
