Pros: Good for family fun, helps everyone learn to spell and good sportsmanship Cons: Some times get stuck and have to end the game!
I love this game! My husband doesn't too much, but that's because I normally beat him. 8-) What is this game?
Scrabble is basically a spelling game. Everyone draws seven tiles (each tile has a letter one it) and they try to make a word with...

Pros: fun to play, is very hard sometimes, can be enjoyed by many groups Cons: can get boring sometimes
Scrabble is a great game that has been around for quite a while. It is a board game that was around even back as far as when I was a kid. My parents even had one when they were growing up, so it just shows how long the game has been going around.

Pros: A very time consuming game that can be a lot of fun! Cons: None
I have to honestly admit that I never thought I would like this game. I love to read and I love to play games that involved words, But Scrabble always looked so boring to me. That is until my cousin came to visit and asked if we wanted to play.

Pros: Great interaction with the other player or players. Really makes your use your brain! Cons: none that I can think of!
First of all, I would like to start out by saying that my dear husband and I love playing board games together. It is a wonderful time to spend quality time together with the television off. Plus it is time to think and really use your brain!

Pros: I bought it for my children to help with their spelling and vocabulary and mine! Cons: When the kids first started they didn't like to look up the words.
It doesn’t matter if you can spell. Look at me I've even beat my mother! And I used mostly 3 to 5 letter words. Its a game for any ability and almost any age. Play with only words everyone knows or have a dictionary with you when you play. There are...

Pros: This game is fun for all... Cons: not enough letters at times, you may need to buy 2
We all know how to play scrabble the basic ways...
2 to 4 players, gather around, the more score you get, the better you are or it will show how smart you are. Also, it depends on the letters that you pick. But do you know, there are more...

Pros: Lots of fun, good time killer, exercises your vocab Cons: does tend to cause arguments
I've been playing scrabble with my roommates since I got to college. It's a great social activity, and as an English Major, I appreciate the verbal gymnastics you have to go through to play well.
The rules are simple: each person gets seven...

Pros: Nearly on a par with all time great games like chess, backgammon and go Cons: None
Scrabble is, frankly, a brilliant game.
It can be played by children. It can be played at the highest levels.
The thing I love about Scrabble is that it shares the characteristic of all truly "great" games. It can be learned in a...

Pros: Fun and Educational at the same time! Cons: Your gonna need a dictionary!
Today's market does not have much room for those low-fun "educational games" because kids want action. But one game has continued to stand out among generations of families, no not Monopoly, but Scrabble. That's right, the Milton Bradley original. It is...

Pros: Expand you vocabulary! Cons: N-O-N-E
My mother started me on this game at about age seven. I hated it because she was not one to let her child win. However, being the competitive child that I was, I never stopped trying to spell big words using three Q's and no U's. With is game, I...

Pros: Challenging and encourages learning. Cons: Can be frustrating for the young.
In my household we love to play a game of Scrabble. I play against my husband at least once a week. We have found that it really challenges us to use our brains to think of words that we typically do not use on a daily basis. Our goal is to get as many...

Pros: Your partner's intelligence is the only limiting factor. You'll never play the same game twice. Cons: It can be easy to get a large score difference, making it less fun.
I purchased this as a gift for my brother when he was 10 years old. My family would play it at least once a week, and my brother and I would learn how to spell new words from my parents vocabulary. We took a miniature version of the game on family...
