Pros: This game is fun for the whole family. Cons: Not applicable in my opinion.
In my opinion, Scrabble is an excellent game. We use it as a supplemental tool for homeschooling. The children find it challenging to try and come up with an interesting word that they can connect to the already existing words, hopefully for a high...

Pros: Develops vocabulary, durable, good for new spellers and experts alike. Cons: Can be dull, games are often too long for children.
While I personally do not enjoy this game I can certainly understand why many do. The game has a never ending variety of outcomes and events. New words are used virtually every time that the game is played.
This is also a good game for the...

Pros: education Cons: none
It's raining outside and your plans of a beautiful picnic are shot. What are you going to do? Pull out the scrabble board of course! This is one of the few classically educational games out on the market today and there's no sign of it going away....

Pros: Pretty simple; No complicated rules;
Easy clean-up;
Easy to learn-Hard to master;
Builds vocabulary Cons: Relatively easy to cheat
Scrabble is one of my favorite board games. It says that it's for ages 8 and up, but it's also fun for those who are illiterate; I help my little sister out a little when she plays against someone. One pro I can see about Scrabble is that it's pretty...

Pros: Educational, easy to learn, excellent way to expand vocabulary Cons: Arguements over legality of words!
Although most people will be happy to just run out and buy this game, it's worth considering all of the options first. I would recommend trying out the yard/garage sales first as there always seems to be a neverending supply of old boardgames being...

Pros: Fun to think of different words Cons: Harder for children (and adults) that can not spell well
I think Scrabble is a good game for older school age children and up. The game is pretty easy to play and I think it is fun thinking of all the different words that can be made from the letters that you pick. Everytime Scrabble is played, there is a...

Pros: Been Around for over 50 years. Great family entertainment, educational, challenging, and terrific value. Cons: None as long as you can spell and are
patient.
Scrabble has been around for over 50 years. Anything that has had such staying power and has gone through minimal changes must have tremendous social value. This game is extremely stimulating for the brain. This game can be played by anyone in the...

Pros: Fun and educational. Cons: None.
I have loved to play scrabble ever since I was a little girl. On rainy days I would sit with my mother and we would play Scrabble at the kitchen table. I learned a lot of words from my mother, she had a wonderful vocabulary.
Twenty...

Pros: Everything about it is great! Cons: No cons allowed:)
I have loved Scrabble since I started playing it at the age of 11 or 12...what is there not to like about it? And how could my fellow friend call it a "bored" game...that is just plain silly! I have loved the game forever and now have three dictionaries...

Pros: Fun, makes you think and be creative, challenging. Cons: Need some luck with the letters picked
I have loved the game of Scrabble since I was a child. I love to be challenged and be creative. But what do you do with all x, y and z's ? Though much of this game is based on skill, thought, and a firm grasp of vocabulary and spelling, some of it...

Pros: Teaches spelling to the very young and old Cons: None at all, a very enjoyable and fun game
Scrabble was bought for around $15.00 when my children were young and just learning to spell. Cat and dog and home were popular words. As they grew older, the words became larger and if they were not sure of the spelling, the dictionary was handy.Not...

Pros: Great for the family Cons: Small pieces easy to loose, boring game
At first, scrabble seems like a lot of fun. We used to play it around Christmas time when the family would come visit, but every year the game seems to get even more boring. Yes, the game allows you to expand your mind, but how fun is that when you do...

Pros: cognitive game, builds vocabulary, entertaining Cons: can be frustrating
Scrabble is not only a fun board game, but also one that takes intelligence to win. It helps young children to learn vocabulary and test their skills. When you take a bunch of letters and form them into words, it takes effort to form them into the...

Pros: It teaches Kids there is life beyond the Tv and computer!! Cons: It does take a long time!
This game is perfect for teaching kids not only how to spell but also teaching them how to plan. How could a parent not want there child to play it.
It is not one that has lots of bright pieces or flashing things but one that has been around a long...
