Pros: Years of fun, educationally brilliant Cons: none
What a classic game. How simple is scrabble?? Using words, just words to entertain for hours. Not only for kids, but for every age.
Scrabble is played by using a generic board, and making words with tiles worth points. These points can be...

Pros: Educational, gets your mind working. Cons: Highly addictive for the word buff.
Growing up in our house meant you had to like to play games. No wait - delete that. Growing up in our house meant you had to LOVE to play games. In fact once a month my mum would purchase a new game for our games closet that was already overflowing. Each...

Pros: n/a Cons: n/a
I don't think I've met many people who haven't played Scrabble at least once before. It's an American classic. As American as apple pie, baseball, or ... the Beatles! (Just making sure you were awake there.)

Pros: helps you to learn words, competitive Cons: can get long
Scrabble is a game that can help you build up your vocabulary faster than any other game. In fact, the whole purpose of the game is to get vocab words that the opponents of you would not think of first. It is an old game, that has been around for a...

I have loved the game of Scrabble for years, but came to an even greater appreciation for it during my sister's visit this past summer. My affinity for words is what has always drawn me to this game and I love watching other people come up with...

Pros: Increased vocabulary, spelling accuracy Cons: Well not really a con, but you should really play with peers, not people so much older than you that you never win, that can be discouraging! Or can turn you into an over achiever! One major con: loss of letter tiles!
I fondly remember the rainy days spent inside with my aunt who loves scrabble. Although I rarely ever won, simply because my aunt and uncle played often and knew more words and how to place them strategically on the board for the best value in...

Pros: Educational and fun Cons: some people are out to WIN
I am not a fan of board games. In fact I can think of lots of things I would much prefer to do than play board games. There are a few exceptions to my dislike and scrabble is one of them.
I have played scrabble on and off for most of my life...

Pros: Educational, competitive, increases vocabulary. Cons: Luck of the draw.
The game-
Scrabble combines all the elements of a really good game, that is, if you enjoy
strategy, competition, and learning a thing or two. The most fun is learning just how far your competition will go to win! The rules are easy...

Pros: Fun, educational Cons: Easy to lose pieces
I used to watch my grandmother and father play scrabble when I was too young to understand half the words they used. As I grew older, I would go through the dictionary looking for words that I could spell using the tiles that I had.
Now, I love...

Pros: Low tech and fun Cons: A bad draw can doom you
The other night our power went out. Instead of sitting in the dark being bored, my girlfriend suggested we play Scrabble. Now it has been a looooooong time since I actually played but I gave it a shot.
I was a little nervous at first...

Pros: good way to learn vocab Cons: can get quite violent
In my family, Scrabble was never just a board game. It was a fight for your life, hands at one other’s throats, everyone for him or herself, bloodthirsty battle to the death. There have been times where money has passed hands for the sacred blank letter...
