Pros: No fuss margaritas, perfectly shaved ice, glass pitcher. Cons: Rather large and heavy. Unless you get a great deal somewhere it is very pricey!
Recently purchased the Margaritaville Bahamas at an online auction. Amazingly easy to blend delicious margaritas and the kids love the smoothies. An instant hit. The unit is VERY easy to use and clean after use. Not too many parts.
I really wanted the DM1000 unit because it offered programs for 1,2 and 3 drinks. This one only offers the 3 drink auto program. However, you can manually blend 1 or 2 drinks. So glad I didn't spend the extra $100 for the other model. This one works great. I do recommend purchasing the travel tote. Makes it easier to store, especially if it doesn't always stay in your kitchen or bar. We have an outdoor bar, so the bag comes in handy. Also will be taking it on our summer vacation to the lake!
