Recently, Amazon.com had Sennheiser HD201 on sale for $10. Obviously, this is a ridiculously low price for decent enclosed headphones from a reputable brand. So I bought the HD201 to compare them to my Sennheiser HD202 ...
Pros: Nice appearance, very comfortable, solid construction Cons: Uneven music reproduction
I have been searching for a decent pair of cheap headphones for a while now. What I am searching for is a pair of headphones with decent sound, comfort, durability, and appearance, for less than $30. So far, the best I have tried are the street-style ...
Pros: ~lightweight and comfortable ~long cord ~very good sound for the price Cons: ~somewhat muted bass ~they aren't as loud as they could be.
I purchased these headphones when I got to the point that I could not stand using the earbuds I had been using anymore. Unfortunately, my budget at the time was very low, so I needed to find something that sounded good but was still very ...
Pros: Build
Comfort
Outstanding value for the money Cons: None for the price
I got these so that my daughter could practice on her keyboards or play PC games without interference from my hollering. Let's start by saying this: if you crave for component interconnects that are insulated with unicorn hairs, this is definitely not ...
Pros: Good sound quality, comfortable to wear while using, two plugs fit any sound source Cons: Large, not too comfortable (and dumb looking) when placed around neck
I walk for exercise and when I do, I normally take a headphone equipped FM radio. These radios come with wimpy little headphones whose earpieces are foam covered. The sound is never very good. The foam eventually wears out and then you have hard plastic ...
Pros: +Great Sound
+Great Price
+Great Looks Cons: +Not as much bass as some would like
+Made my ears sweat after an hour
Looking for excellent headphones for under $20? These headphones are for you. Take advantage of my hours of research on the internet for some headphones that sound great, and cost close to nothing. These are closed headphones. that means that they block ...
I have spent a good deal of time reading about and listening to headphones, from cheap earbuds to my perfect, awesome Grado SR60s. I was surprised to read reviews about this $20 pair as being superior to many more expensive headphones. The part that ...
Pros: Great sound, durable, good price. Cons: Lacks the range that some higher end headphones can provide. Not always loud enough.
Great pair of headphones if your on a budget. Sennheiser are known for their quality built headphones and these are no exception. I original bought them to plug into my amp and listen to my electric guitar "quietly". They performed pretty well at this ...
Pros: Effective and super cheap.
Good ambient noise reduction. Cons: Lacks bass.
I've been building up my home studio bit by bit and wanted a cheap pair of headphones for studio use. Studio requirements are rather different to Hi-Fi requirements. When listening to music for pleasure you want the best possible sound, all the good, ...
Pros: Cost; XLNT sound; light weight;low impedence for portable devices. Cons: A wee bit lean on bass.
As Audiophiles have come to appreciate, a Pot full of money buys a Nickels worth of difference between "good" head phones, and "great" headphones. The HD 201 is a surprisingly "good" headphone. Most listeners will notice little difference between these bargain headphones and many top of the line models. I compared these to my Sennheiser HD 555's and Sony 7506 studio monitors ,and can tell you that despite a little less low end bass response ,these are amazingly close in sonic reproduction; Nice spacious sounding mid-range. I know this will offend many of whose imaginations and pocket books have carried them into the morass of costly Audiophilia and headphone hype, but these truly are a damn good buy, and with a little help from your bass control ,will knock your listening socks off. The price man, the price !! Unbelievable.
Not Terrible, But HD202 Is Much More Preferred by audio-freak ,Feb 23 '07
Pros: Good Looks, Comfortable, Decent Sound Cons: There Is Still Better For The Money
Sennheiser is a champ in audio products, especially headphones. Many seem to rave about the HD201. Unfortunately, I'd have to disagree with most, and say I was more impressed with the similar-priced HD202. Even if it costs three more bucks, the HD202 is worth it over the 201. They do seem to have accurate bass and mid tones, which is hard to find in headphones at $20, but they sound much to inaccurate in treble, lacking in upper mids and sounding way, way too bright to hide their ineffective clarity. Although sound is better than most, it is not better than all, which is why I recommend the HD202 and Koss UR21 over these. These are very comfortable and look very, very neat, but seem like posers to those two models.
Pros: Great sound, light. Cons: Big and Do not fold.
So I've read the reviews and I've had lots of good headphones and all that. Wanted these for my iPod.
When they came I was not disappointed.
Comfort:
I like the way the cup is deep with a definite edge so that the padding/speaker inside isn't pressed against my ear which I find causes them to be sore after a while.
They're light. I can wear them for a long time.
Sound:
Overall really nice super crisp, well balanced.
I haven't burned them in long enough to give a good description. At the moment they are a bit bright but I think the bass will fill in.
My only problem with them is that they are a bit big for portable phones and they don't fold.
Pros: cheap(dont let this put you off), good sound, good bass Cons: shouldnt be sold in argos, gives sennheiser a bad name
4 15quid at argos, they r amazin.i love music an couldnt believe the sound, from my poor sounding ipod nano and to my brilliant cambridge audio seperates amplifier, they handle loud music, still giving good quality sound, usually you get what you pay for but with these head phones, you will feel like your ripping Mr.Sennheiser off.i'm not saying these are the best headphones ever as ther no match for my Sennheiser HD 280's as they wer over six times the price but, going from them to the 201's they dont dissapoint at all. i have six pears of different Sennheiser headphones and will stick with them forever. i would say these are even better than my wireless Sennheiser rs-120's as they were my biggest dissapointment!!! the 201's are second favourites out of my collection for all round happiness, my fav. being the 280's.....cheap(dont let this put you off), good sound, good bass(the correct amount of bass4 music listening, people say there is little bass but i like just enough sometimes and sometimes loads, these are just right in my oppinion. but hey there only 15quid. the two year warrenty is worth that!).
