Pros: Effective and economical, this insecticide kills seventy varieties of pests. Cons: Dusty
Nothing irritates me more than flea infestation. My dream of becoming a landlord turned into a taste of hell when the house I purchased for an investment turned out to be a flea-ridden monstrosity. Three steps beyond the tiled entry, I stepped onto the...

Is it Magic Dust? I think so, and would like to tell you why.

I use Sevin dust every year in my garden. There are certain times in the growing season, that certain bugs come after my veggies. I hate the cut worms, they are big and scary. One dusting with Sevin and they are gone. If it weren't for Sevin Dust, I...
Pros: ASTONISHINGLY good at eradicating grubs ! Cons: Vermiculite vehicle contributes to dust. Dead grubs " littered " the yard !
I HAD a major problem with grubs--they somehow got into the garage, and have ( until now ) ruined my lawn. I bought some Sevin at the local home/garden store--applied via broadcast spreader ( keeps dust at ankle level ), to my yard. Watered lawn to ...

Pros: Very affective on all plants including vegetables Cons: Dust gets everywhere and can be difficult to apply.
Hello all,
I have tried tons of different pest controls such as spectracide triazacide or however you spell it and nothing stacks up to sevin. Last year we moved into our new home and we have a beautiful red maple in the front and we also planed a weeping cherry. Well this area has a really bad problem with japanese beetles. My trees looked horrible for half of the year last year even when I had beetle bags out.
This year I decided to fight back with Sevin dust. It is difficult to apply on a tree in the dust form however this year the beetles fell from the tree dead. There is a ton of them on the ground around the tree everyday now. My tree is still in great shape.
I like the dust however I am going to try the spray next time just to see if it cuts back on the dust problems.
Pros: Sevin Dust is cheap and effective for flea control Cons: As the name implies it is a dust, so be prepared.
Another easy way to apply Sevin Dust to carpets, beddings and animals is to pour it into a nylon stocking, just the cheap knee highs you can buy for around .33 cents a pair works wonders. Just shake it and it leaves a fine dusting of powder.
