Pros: Picture quality, tv design, sound all are excellent Cons: Low audio hum when volume is turned down low.
I too have been searching for a hidef tv for just over a year. And have constantly been put off with the fact that I would need either cable or sat to get a hidef picture. Well when finding the Sharp - AQUOS 32 Flat-Panel LCD HDTV - LC-32D40U, I was ...
Pros: Excellent picture quality, just as good as last generation's model with some good fixes. Cons: Dynamic contrast feature might be annoying to some.

Pros: Quality, Quality, Quality to image, sound, appearance Cons: Costs more than other models but makes up for it in quality
The Sharp Liquid Crystal TV isn’t the cheapest one on the market. However, it has an excellent display which delivers a very realistic picture. Colors are accurate. Detail shows up crisply that dwarfs other tvs in this size range. Adjusting the ...
Pros: Great picture and well-engineered features. Cons: Dynamic contrast feels like a gimmick more than a feature
I recently purchased this Aquos and have had it long enough now to offer a reasoned opinion. I was torn between getting one of these Sharp units or a cheaper brand like Vizio or Olevia. In the end, I made my choice based on the reputation of the Aquos ...
Pros: fabulous picture, black levels, simple directions and ease of use Cons: cleaning
Our circa 1995 television finally died and we had to find a replacement. My mission was simple, find a modest sized LCD tv for under $1000.00. Since all 1080 dpi LCDs are over that we opted for the 780 dpi and I went about finding the best bargain. I ...

Fun to play games on
Cons: Nothing that I've found...
I purchased this television for our bedroom to replace our old Toshiba CRT TV. First, let me start by saying that the form factor and weight is significantly less than anything of this size using CRT technology. I can move this television around by ...
Pros: It does look really nice when turned off. Cons: It was brand new and it does not work!
I selected this television based on the reputation of Sharp as an LCD manufacturer and the quality of their televisions I saw in retail stores. I made the mistake of purchasing this TV from Buy.com. I did so because they had a good price and I had ...
Pros: Excellent Picture, Under $1000, Inputs and multiple viewing options. Cons: Remote could be better. No channel labeling for Satellite receivers.

This tv worked well for the first year but then all went to hell...of course, after one year warranty expired. We purchased this tv in March of 2006 to upgrade from our old 20 inch tv. Other than a lag in the picture/sound display when turning the ...
Pros: Good sound, good picture. Cons: Slow channel changing, inferior components or assembly.
I considered many factors before purchasing my Sharp LC-32D40U 32" LCD Flat Panel TV November 1, 2006. I compiled a lot of research into the technical quality and specifications of the various models then available as well as learning about the High ...

Fifteen months ago a bought a Sharp LC-32D4U AQUOS 32". It worked fine for 13 months. (12 month warranty) The problem is when the unit turns on a message "please wait" comes on. In normal operation at this point the input (e.g. DTV) comes on and then ...
Pros: The Sharp Aquos LC-32D40U: beautiful and light.Picture quality is excellent. Colour is natural. Cons: Picture goes black intermittently. Black screen becomes permanent. One year warranty insufficient.
My love affair with our thirteen month old Sharp Aquos LC-32D40U fizzled out over a period of months. Initially, I loved the realistic picture, the great surround sound and the sleek looks of the television itself. Blackouts began shortly ...
Had a hard time finding one, but it was worth the search. The picture quality on HD is unbelievable. I live about 30 miles from Tampa Bay, and I was able to receive over 15 digital channels by simply hooking up my existing 20 yr old roof top antenna. The off air HD broadcasts are considerably better than my non-HD Direct TV which I originally thought was excellent. The sound quality was a real surprise. I figured I would need a sub woofer to get the kind of bass this thing puts out. No disappointments yet.
Pros: Picture, appearance, ease of use. Cons: I honestly can't think of any.
I can't think of any disappointments we've had with this set. The picture, even analog, is awesome. It's very attractive, and its slim design doesn't seem to compromise quality. It works fine with our Comcast remote. Setup is quick and easy.
Pros: Picture quality, size, just looks good even when off. Solid HD. Cons: wish it had multiple HDMI inputs and an easier to use remote.
I purchased this set in 11/05, have been completely satisfied with picture quality, HD quality and the ease to set up. Colors are accurate, blacks are really black. For a moderate sized room, study or bedroom don't waste your time on anything else. It delivers far more than other more expensive type technologies.
