Pros: pocketable, good image quality, 6x optical zoom, image stabilization, manual controls, etc. Cons: Ummmm... doesn't have the latest camera technology from Canon?
Ughhh.... digital camera turnover is getting ridiculous. About every 6-8 months, just about every camera company completely revamps its model lineup. Canon has pretty much revamped its entire lineup even though most of the cameras weren't even a year ...
Pros: Easy to use, beautiful pictures Cons: Not that different from other models
I just can't keep up with what is new on the market! It seems like whenever we get used to technology, another comes in to takes it's place. We have several Canon cameras in our home. Some we use around the house, for holiday pictures, family events, ...
Pros: Light/pocketable high quality all purpose compact digital camera. Nice software Cons: Noise already at ISO400, Now replaced by A720is (but price will drop!)
- Premise My decision to buy a compact camera from Canon was almost obliged. I have already owned an EOS350 (Rebel XT in the US) since 2005 and I wanted to simplify as much as possible my life: the number of cables I have to bring along and the number ...
Pros: Better picture quality/processing than less expensive competitors. Dark rendering decent for an LCD. Cons: No auto resizing, no front A/V ports, base is not adjustable.
(Background: I had purchased this TV to replace a Vizio 37" LCD. In short, the Aquos costs a few hundred more than the Vizio, but I am very satisfied with the Aquos.) Image Quality: For LCD televisions, you usually have to lower your ...
Pros: lots of features, great picture, easy to use Cons: no cable card slot, bigger size plasmas available for similar price
Back in April, I was looking for a nice HDTV to replace the 27" TV I had in my bedroom. I was looking for either a plasma or an LCD TV in the 37" - 42" size for around $2000. I finally settled on the Sharp LC-37D40U. I chose an LCD over a plasma for ...
Pros: Great skin tone color, great zoom, fantastic image stabilization (oh my gosh!)inexpensive, portable, batteries Cons: Insanely long flash recycle, no motion mode, doesn't take
moving subjects well.
I am one of those people who researches and shops and goes and tries the camera out until I am pretty certain I have something I like. I am not a pro, but I am more interested in getting a better picture than the average buyer. Ok, there are some ...
Pros: All the good reviews you read about this camera are true. Delivered on time! Cons: Flash takes a bit to recharge from shot to shot.
I did hours of research over the course of several days trying to find the best digital camera for my budget and needs as well as where in the heck to purchase one online that wasn't a rip off. I suffered through so much to get this camera so I wrote ...
Pros: Image stabilization, good price resolution. Cons: No turnable display, flash loads slow, TWAIN only.
I am a quite experienced amateur and want good quality of the final picture but the convinience of a automatic camera. A710 is a good camera with stabilization, panoramatic photos support, good resolution and quite a good macro. Good in the hand, hard ...
Pros: AA batteries, Image Stabilization, 6X optical zoom, optical viewfinder, convenient size. Cons: Optical viewfinder a bit small, could use diopter adjustment.
After using a Canon A95 for almost two years, I was sold on Canon "A" series cameras for their size, features and the fact that they use AA batteries. I still keep my A95 for a backup, but when I read about the A710 having 6X optical zoom and Image ...
Pros: Large LCD, 6x zoom, and 7.1 mega-pixels Cons: Slow flash recovery
Previous reviewers have pretty much covered the waterfront on the technical specs of the Canon A710 IS. I'm not a professional but from my view, it's a great point and shoot, with traditional Canon benefits if you are shopping in the $275-300 price point ...
Pros: Great Picture. Piano black looks. User interface. Cons: TV would randomly turn on. Sound cuts in and out.
My wife and I were really excited about this TV when we bought it for our living. It had the quality picture that I was looking for and the looks that was pleasing to her. The picture is what we were expecting and the piano black color ...
Initial experience is wonderful. by micsup ,Dec 01 '06
Pros: Beautiful HD picture as expected and wonderful connectivity features. Cons: Sound problem as described above.
Dad this set for about a week now.A couple of observations. After watching several movies on my up-convert DVD player using 1080i, I'm thoroughly impressed with this sets picture. Even the SD looks much better than my older 32 inch Aquos. Seems to recognize the satellite connection much faster too. Now for the bad news. First the small stuff. The set doesn't swivel or adjust virtically like my 32. Minor annoyance. Finally although Sharp touts this set's dual HDMI connectors, the onboard speakers WILL NOT recognize or play back a digital signal from ANYTHING. It simply tells you that an incompatible signal is there. In other words, if, like me, you have Showtime channels and want to watch an HD movie, you MUST have this thing set up through a home theatre system capable of reading DOLBY D signals. Any channel not sending out a digital signal is no problem. It's minor to me because I don't ever listen to the onboard speakers anyway(Frankly I REALLY wish they were removable). But if someone buys this set and doesn't connect it to a digital capable system and expects to listen to an HD broadcast, they're gonna be SOL.
Pros: Picture quality, ease of set-up, size-perfect for our sunlit family room. Cons: So far, none!
Used Buydig.com. Ordered it Dec.19th, was delivered on Dec. 21st.
Can't heap enough praise to Buydig. No pressure, very informative, and accommodating. Company was great, price was great, picture is amazing! We have been looking for 3 years, doing the research, going in stores to see the TV and our other possible choice. Sharp Aquos is #1 in our opinion. We always came back to the Aquos...! All the "extra" bells and whistles were meaningless... We wanted an excellent picture, color, and ease of use. And we got it with our 37D4OU LCD. Our friends and family are amazed, impressed, and ready to become Sharp Aquos consumers too! Our family is very happy, satisfied, and loving it!
Pros: Good picture when it works. Cons: Product quality is extremely poor. Two malfunctioning tvs in a row.
purchased the LC-37D4OU from a website. The unit was delivered in three days, which was fantastic. I turned the unit on and noticed the menu area had white vertical dots. Sharp replaced the unit and two weeks after the promised delivery date, the unit arrived. I plugged the second unit in (same model) and this one didn't even turn on.
I don't know what the deal is with sharp, but whatever quality they had, has been lost. I'm expecting this one to catch on fire. I am still a little irate, I just got off the phone with Sharp.
This is a good day to day camera which will cover all your usual needs. by costant ,Jan 12 '07
Pros: manual controls, image stabilization, optical viewfinder Cons: no wide zoom, notable noise in ISO 400-800, slow flash recycling
The Canon PS A710 IS is a pocketable camera with a wide zoom range and a good amount of manual control. Easy to use and inexpensive camera with 6x optical zoom and lots of useful features, including optical image stabilization that prevents hand shake from making pictures blurry in dim light or at full zoom. Pictures quality are excellent. Canon claims 100 shots with supplied alkaline batteries, more than 300 with high-capacity NiMH rechargeable batteries. With 2 AA NiMH 2500mA batteries Ive taken more than 230 pictures. The camera has full automatic as well as manual modes, including Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority. The Auto mode could do an average job of taking photos in most conditions. Also there is even Full Manual mode which I found here and liked the best. The camera can take photos at about one every two seconds without flash. But taking photos with flash is very slow; it takes 7-10 seconds for the camera to recycle its flash.
