    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: cats loved it, simple ingredients, recyclable
    Cons: no extra vitamins

Summary: I normally only buy cat food at pet stores, but while at Target last week I saw Sheba cat food on sale. They were two domes for $0.76, normally $1.09 in tuna flavor, which I know my cats absolutely love, so I brought it home. The package had two metal ... read more

Pros: Pogo is eating it with gusto
Cons: Very expensive, may be too bland for you cat

Summary: Pogo is dying. He turned 18 on April 6, and everything in the world is wrong with him: he’s senile, deaf, hyperthyroid, and arthritic, and has Irritable Bowel Disease and acute kidney failure. Oh yes - he’s also seriously anemic. At his ... read more

  • Great stuff for older cats, and younger ones, too

    Nov 2, 2002 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Great nutrition, cats love it, easy to use, though pricey reduces overall food cost.
Cons: Hard to find some flavors like salmon and lamb.

Summary: I highly recommend Sheba as a regular food for cats. My recommendation is based on seeing extraordinarily positive effects on the health, behavior and looks of my two cats, particularly on the older one, who's now 17 years old. Sheba reversed some ... read more

    Jun 28, 2002 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Contains vitamins and minerals that are good for your cat.
    Cons: Everything else, read on.

Summary: In our never-ending search for a nutritional canned cat food, my husband brought home some Sheba cat food. First thing he says is it's expensive at around 60 cents for a 3.5 oz can, depending on where you buy it. We got three different flavors ... read more

  • So appetizing, I admit I tasted one myself

    Dec 26, 2001 by
    Rated a Helpful Review
    Pros: Excellent quality
    Cons: Oh-so-pricey

Summary: I know, I know -- it's pretty gross to taste-test cat food for yourself. But I swear it wasn't my fault. The stuff looked and smelled so good I just had to see what it was like. So I tried the duck in savory meat sauce. Honestly, it ... read more

  • Sheba: Not Even Suitable For Animals

    Nov 25, 2000 by
    Rated a Helpful Review
    Pros: I had a coupon.
Cons: Price, looks, smell, cats wouldn't eat it!

Summary: I would not recommend buying Sheba brand cat food for your cats. I bought this food because of the quality that they advertise, but I found this to be incorrect. Both of my cats hated Sheba Turkey cat food (I tried to pawn it off on my dog ... read more

  • My Cat Loves It!!

    Nov 22, 2000 by
    Rated a Helpful Review
Pros: Cat likes it, easy to open
    Cons: a little more expensive

Summary: I have a very finicky cat and she loves Sheba. It's a little more expensive than some of the other brands but it's well worth it if she actually eats it. I don't know how many cans of other cat foods I've had to just throw away because she wouldn't ... read more

  • "Feed Me Now Or The Sofa Gets It"-Sheba Cat Food

    Sep 25, 2000 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: smells pretty good, easy opening
Cons: expensive, may not be optimum nutrition, addictive

Summary: The title, in addition to being an actual comment by my beasties, is one of the mottos from Sheba's website. Cats are strange people- they can have a full bowl of their very favorite kibble, the highest quality, expensive stuff, and still complain of ... read more

  • Willie And Millie Are Licking Their Chops Over This Duck ???

    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Willie And Millie Really Like It
Cons: Is Expensive When Not On Sale

Summary: Willie and Millie have to stay home by themselves when we work. I thought that I should get them something special for being good while we are gone. Also since Millie is getting harder and harder to lure in, I wanted to see if something else would make ... read more

    Pros: Great for finicky eaters
    Cons: Expensive

Summary: As the owner of 4 cats it seems like I am always buying cat food. I have one especially finicky cat who is very picky about the type of food she eats. About 1 1/2 years ago she became very sick and stopped eating. She was only about 6 months old and the ... read more

    Aug 16, 2000 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
    Pros: Delicious taste, nutritious
    Cons: Cost

Summary: Sheba is definitely among the tastier cat foods available today on the market. I have three cats and have tried just about every type of cat food in the supermarket to see what they like best. Cats are like humans; they like some variety in their diets ... read more

    Pros: My cat loves them!
    Cons: Packaging

Summary: My cat is very picky. He will only eat dry food and would never touch any wet food. But my aunt gave me a can (well, package) of Sheba and I tried it. He loved it! So much so that I can't even open the packages without him attacking it to get to the food ... read more

  • The cat likes it anyway

    Rated a Helpful Review
Pros: Cat likes it a lot
Cons: the smell and is a little more expensive

Summary: My cat loves all the Shebas. My cat is so fineky and will not eat anything. He smells it, makes a face at it, and scratches his paw. Sometimes he will even throw up on the food just so I have to change the dish... But when I feed him Sheba, he eats ... read more

Pros: Smells good and according to the cats, tastes good too!
    Cons: It's pretty pricey.

Summary: My mom always used to buy cases of Sheba cat food to feed to the family cats. When I moved out of the house and adopted cats of my own, I figured Sheba would be a good choice as well. My cats enjoy Sheba cat food. They usually don't like fish ... read more

    Rated a Very Helpful Review
    Pros: Um, looks meaty?
    Cons: EXPENSIVE!

Summary: If you've read many of my previous reviews, you probably know by now that I typically feed my cats relatively average cat food in terms of price. Every now and then, though, I like to reward my cats or just be nice to them 'cause I love 'em, by getting ... read more

  • Sheba Treats

    Jul 18, 2000 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
    Pros: Single ingredients
Cons: Small containers that are priced high

Summary: While browsing the grocery section of my local supermarket I would always look at the Sheba cat food but due to it's price I would never purchase it. At 89 cents for one small container it was not in our budget. Later I found a local department store was ... read more

  • We prefer Sheba

    Nov 19, 2013 by

Pros: The number one ingredient is actual chicken.  That's the protein that cats require.
Cons: The can is an odd size.   A plastic lid won't fit on the left-overs.

Summary: After our own research, we have settled upon Sheba's chicken pate version.  We have four cats, and one is a picky eater who would prefer dried food, so she eats about half as much as the others.  But, they all eat it.  We don't offer them ... read more

Pros: A healthy product that my cats love
Cons: It is expensive but since I feed it as a treat it's not too bad.

Summary: I was astonished to read that someone's take on Sheba was so negative.  The tin I am looking at has no byproducts at all - just water, chicken and tuna plus lots of supplements.  My cats usually only eat dry food but I want them to have a wet ... read more
