    Pros: ...Location, decent food...
    Cons: ...nothing exceptional...

Summary: ...If Honda Motor Car Company came out w/ a restaurant, it would be built like Shiroi Hana. Sushi is rather unique as a food group. Since there really aren't many sauces involved, the difference in Sushi results from the freshness of the fish and ... read more

Pros: Cheap. Close to the El.
Cons: No atmosphere. Untrained sushi chefs. Poor quality. Long wait.

Summary: I hate being negative, but I've had a few bad meals here-- this last one has sent me to the doctor for dehydration (via my post-meal barf-o-rama) this a.m.. No kidding. I'm stunned! It's dirt-cheap sushi at Shiroi Hana & I think the sense of ... read more

Pros: Cheap, fast, close to my home!
Cons: No atmosphere, not best sushi around

Summary: Sushi is not the best quality but great for the price. You can get a Party Platter which is 3 rolls and 15 nigiri pieces of your choice only for $21.50. The place gets crowded because of the price and the service. The turnover rate is the best I have ... read more

    Pros: Cheap, good combo meals
Cons: Not the greatest quality, can be crowded

Summary: The sushi here is not great. It's good enough- adequate, perhaps- but it is a great deal for the money. Definitely the best value in Chicago. The best part of Shiroi Hana is that you can order a combo sushi platter- and actually choose exactly what ... read more

  • five years of good sushi ....

Pros: excellent price, good quality sushi
Cons: service , ambience and lack of presentation

Summary: For the money, Shiroi is perhaps the best Chicago sushi bargain. Granted, the sushi is adequate, good not great. Service is fair . Remeber expensive doesn't equal quality and I have had far worse sushi at very high priced "yuppie"
