Pros: Built to last, great for the price Cons: often talked about as the only vocal microphone out there.

Pros: A no-brainer if you are looking for a $100 vocal mic for stage use. Cons: The required XLR microphone cable is generally not included.

Makes good singers sound great! Cons: Will not make bad singers sound better!!

Pros: Sounds good, affordable, I could go all day. Cons: None that I can think of
Summary: I was looking around at guitar center one day and the guy behind the counter highly recommended the Shure sm58 mic. I went home and everybody I knew that owned a mic recommended it. I use it for backup vocals in my band, and boy does it sound good.
