Pros: Nice mixture of hops and malt Cons: Not really a typical summer beer- no wheat or fruit taste
Sierra Nevada is a popular craft brewery that can always be counted on for producing beer products that are good tasting at the very least, and great tasting at best. This brewery, headquartered in Chico, California, is one of Americas most ...

Pros: Delicious hop character, good malt body, nicely balanced. Cons: Some will find it lacking in the hop department.
Hey craft beer drinker, good news! It seems that these days more and more beer drinkers are hopping on the good beer bandwagon. And thats a good thing, to be sure. The Brewers Association in Colorado reports that 2005 craft beer sales were ...

Pros: Citrus hops, malt backbone. Cons: None
Lately, my palate has been craving hops. Luckily, there have been a few breweries that have no problem being enablers. As one might expect, Sierra Nevada is one of these breweries that pile hops into everything they do. This review is for their ...

Pros: Nice crispness, good mix of malt and hops Cons: Wheat summer ales have a little more character
It’s a little hot today, well over 100 degrees, and with my wife out of town and the night off work, what better way to follow up a little garden cleaning than a summer seasonal brew.
In my short time of sampling American brews, Sierra Nevada...

Pros: A lip smacking winner from Sierra Nevada. Cons: A specialty offering for a limited time. Buy more.
Finding a new Sierra Nevada Brewing Company offering at my local beer cooler of choice makes me glad I still have a functioning liver. Its a little bit like a present you didnt know you were getting. Its like finding an extra 20 in your ...

Pros: Light and Refreshing Cons: Slightly pricey
One of my brothers is a big fan of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. It is probably his favorite beer. Therefore, over the years, when it was his turn to buy I have ended up having quite a few with him. (He went to school in Chico, California, home of the Sierra...

Pros: Light, delightful warm kick and the end. Not bitter...perfect summer beer Cons: only comes around during summer
I'm not a fan of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (the one they are known for)...and less of a fan of Indian Pale Ale. When my roommate decided to try a six pack of this variety out, I was skeptical at best.
Boy was I wrong! This beer was a great beer...

Pros: It's yummy! Cons: Seasonal, usually only found in Chico and neighboring cities
As a lover of Sierra Nevada beer, I have come to love Summerfest and Oktoberfest the most. Both are different beers, Summerfest being a lighter beer, where as Oktoberfest is dark. However, because these are both seasonal beers, I cannot enjoy them year...

Pros: not bitter Cons: no body
I love Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Naturally I wanted to love this one too. But I couldn't even finish one bottle. It tasted to me very much like another famous beer in a yellow can that comes out of Colorado. It is a very thin beer.
But...
