Pros: Gas is minimal; Good nutritional content Cons: Price is a little higher; Not always easy to dissolve
Baby formulas are a product I have become very familiar with over the past several months. I have been sampling different brands and styles, trying them out on my little one to see which one is most nutritious, which one is easiest to digest, and which ...
Pros: less gassy, less spit ups, generally happier baby on this formula Cons: none so far
When my daughter was first born, the hospital started her on Enfamil Lipil. My daughter would cry after eating, during eating, and after eating. I was told to burp her more. It didn't work. She spit up all the time, but I was told that was normal ...
Pros: Less gas, cleaner diapers, no spit ups Cons: Price is a little more but it's worth it, diapers are a little smellier
Our daughter is 3 months old. Ever since she was born she has been really gassy and has had diarrhea diapers. After speaking with her first pediatrician we were told this was normal for formula fed babies. At about 6 weeks of age, she started crying a ...
Pros: Great Coupons, minimal fast disappearing bubbles Cons: Expensive w/o Coupons, Residue Film, didn't help
My baby girl is 4 weeks old yesterday. I started her off with what she was being fed in the hospital, Similac Advance. She did was doing okay on that. The problems she did have was some projectile vomiting, gas, and spit-up. She was gaining weight ...
Pros: Helps with gas/constipation/general fussiness
Never have a problem with it dissolving Cons: Little more expensive
Has more of an "odor" than milk-based formulas
I started my baby boy on Enfamil Lipil, and his poop was hard as a rock, his stomach was distended, he cried constantly, and he always seemed to be in pain. After switching him to soy, he was a NEW baby after 2 weeks. His poop is soft now, his tummy isn't rock hard, he SMILES now, it made a world of difference.
Pros: Less gas and spitting up in just a matter of days. Cons: Stains clothes, doesn't mix in cool or even warm water
I love the Isomil Advance. I have tried Similac and Enfamil Lipil and they both caused problems so I switched my baby to Isomil Advance and spitting up calmed down a lot to maybe once a day and no more gassy problems. The only down side is the powder doesn't mix well unless water is really warm so bottles have to be prepared a head of time and then rewarmed up and it stains clothes more than some other formulas I have tried.
Excellent Product, used on both my children by sherriwright ,Feb 24 '05
Pros: Causes less gas, spit up and mixes well Cons: expense and have to make it in 2 oz increments
I used this formula on both of my children (21 month and 4 month old) and have had no problems. It did cut down on the spit up and gas. It did not stain any of the girls clothes.
I love the Isomil Advance formula by meghan634426 ,Aug 01 '05
Pros: Happier baby, dosen't stain his clothing, available at all stores Cons: The smell and the powder clumps when being made.
I was nursing and supplementing with my son. He was extremely fussy and screamed all the time. He also acted as if he was hungry. We tried almost all kinds of formula. I even just nursed him exclusively and no changes. I put him on the Isomil Advance exclusively and we now have a wonderful baby.
Pros: reduces colic and gas in stomach-less spit up Cons: non so far and doubt will ever be
i just absolutely love similac isomil advance. my daughter has reflux and this is the only formula that I have been able to find that she doesnt throw up 5 min after eating. she even spits up in excessive when i breastfeed that is why i love this formula as a supplement. thanks similac
It gave us our wonderful baby back!!!!!!! by knjvic ,Mar 27 '06
Pros: Happy Baby! Cons: Expensive (but worth it)
I can't say enough about this formula. This was the 4th in a series of tries for our little girl. The first she didn't like the taste (was on it for a week). Second bound her up in 3 days, third made her so gassy that by the 3rd week all she did was cry and strain. Then we tried this within a day we would see our happy, easy going little girl coming back. And true to their claim within 3 days we had our little girl all the way back. She does spit up a bit more then before, but that worth it since she is so happy.
