Pros: Very comfortable in the first year to year and a half. Cons: Breaks down surprisingly fast and ends up being very painful to sleep on.
We purchased the Simmons BackCareŽ Ultimate Supreme St. Moritz in Cal. King from our local Bon Marche Furniture Gallery in February of 2000 and had it delivered to our new home in April of 2000. Being what we considered a major purchase, we wanted ...

Pros: Initial Comfort.... Material durability.... Pillow top to die for Cons: Completely unacceptable breakdown of support in a very short time. Should come with Chiropractic coupons
My wife and I splurged for this mattress in 2000. In need of a mattress after our first 10 years together, we felt we deserved something to pamper ourselves with during our sleep. So, we spent beyond budget for the Simmons BackCare mattress and felt...

Pros: Simmons does make high quality products - just not this particular model/line. Cons: Never had a back ache/other aches UNTIL this mattress! That says it all.
Bought this almost 5 years ago in Chicago from a major department store with a special furniture division/stores because I had been sleeping on an agonzing futon in a studio apartment. Once I got my "real" one-bedroom apartment, I did all my ...

Pros: It was good for a year Cons: It breaks down quickly and provides no back care or support at all
Well, like many others my husband and I did extensive research into the mattress world before purchasing our Simmons. We diligently looked up consumer reviews, went to every mattress store in the Greater Kansas City area, laid on what seemed to be every ...

Pros: Feels great when you first buy it. Cons: Is unusable after just five years.
We bought a Simmons Back-Care mattress and boxspring set 5 years ago, and loved the way it felt. Not too hard, not too soft, just right. But just five years later, it's unbearable to sleep on. It sags in the center of the bed, so that my wife and I ...

Pros: Looks nice. Pillow top decent. Cons: Breaks down quickly. Very painful to sleep on. Full 10-year warranty is a farce.
We consider ourselves meticulous consumers and after doing our best to research mattresses, we were impressed by the favorable reviews received by the BackCare and the fact that the design idea (5 zones) seemed fairly innovative. I won't write a long revi ...

Pros: Comfort, Support, and Motion/Vibration Suppression. Cons: Only the price, but how much is a good night sleep worth to you.
A few yeas ago, and several months after my wife and I were T-Boned by a person who ran a red light, ...

Pros: Revamped models may address breakdown issues Cons: Too soon to tell. Check back in two years.
After trying out what seemed to be every bed in every store in my area, I found the Simmons Backcare to be the most comfortable for my hip and shoulder problems. But then I read the reviews posted here and worried that this expensive ($1,400) bed might ...

Pros: Mattress is absolutely fantastic for the first 10 months or so. Cons: Bed breaks down very fast and becomes impossible to sleep on.
12/27/2004 (Careful NOT to mention the store and names) During the last couple of months I have noticed that I am starting to wake up with lower back discomfort. I have also noticed that my mattress is starting to crater in the ...

Pros: Initially very comfortable - went away quickly! Cons: Break down of pillow-top and spring/coils - BACK ACHES!!!
Hardly a surprise, considering what we have experienced. I'm glad I came to e-pinions, because many reviewers have iterated the experience that we too, have had. I am amazed that this mattress feels completely unusable to us after only three years of ...

Pros: Great support. Durable (as judged after 9 years) Cons: Too firm for some people
We bought this mattress nine years ago because I have always believed in firm mattresses. At the mattress discounter, we were given a break for buying two mattresses, so we paid only $150 for this one, which seemed surprisingly low. It has been slept ...

Pros: Like Sleeping on a cloud Cons: Very expensive compared to most mattresses on the market today.
Our new bed is now about a year old and so far this bed is like sleeping on a cloud. The plush top is just wonderful. I have never been able to sleep on my back until we bought this mattress. I don't toss and turn like I used to on other mattresses ...

Pros: No flip design, Five Support Zones, Fantastic Support allows for deep sleep. Cons: Very high mattress, plan on buying sheets too. May not work with your bedroom furniture?
The past few years I would get back pain in my lower back when standing in a line for more than 30 minutes. I went to a Chiropractor and spent almost a thousand dollars with no evident results. I finally considered that my soft, 15-year-old mattress...

Pros: Very comfortable Cons: None yet
My old queen-size mattress was sagging badly, and I knew I needed to replace it (although I was very comfortable in it). It normally takes me 3 nights to start to sleep well on a "strange" mattress, whether travelling or at Mom's house. My...
