Pros: So comfortable, you'll hardly feel any movement by your bed companion Cons: We had to give it away - gosh darnit
The summer of 2002 is a summer I will never forget. We bought our first bed. During the weekend of August 9th, we decided to go shopping for a bed. Now, as comfortable as I made the C

Pros: 1 week of blissful sleep. Cons: Pillow top mattresses are a HUGE mistake. Avoid at all costs.
The first couple of weeks were wonderful. Then we started to develop the "body impressions." Sleep Country Canada told us about. At the end of 2 months, past our 60 night comfort guarantee the impressions began to bother both my wife & I's backs. We ...
Pros: Comfortable at first
No motion transfer for a while
Love the terrycloth cover
Cons: Body impressions in pillow top
Motion transfer after time
Wish pillow top zipped off
I thought there was something wrong with me, but after reading the other opinions, I know that it's not me, it's my mattress! I hate to admit that after spending $1,000 or so on our Beautyrest that I can't stand it! It was comfortable for maybe six or ...
Exactly one year ago today, my husband and I bought the Simmons Beautyrest Plush Pillow Top (Gazelle) model at Matthews Mattress in Davis, CA. What a mistake and the most horrible year of sleep in our marriage. Our experience started out similar to ...
Pros: Good for 3 months. Quickly deteriorated. I will never buy from Simmons again. Cons: Complete waste of money. Poorly manufactured. It had one purpose and it failed.
Let me start by stating my complete disappointment with this bed. Within 4 months of purchasing this bed new it had started to develop obvious troughs on either side where my wife and I slept. The comfort had diminished considerably as the ...
Pros: I have no pro's for this bed! Cons: sags, not a good buy for your money, no company contact!
Last month my hubby and I purchased the Xtra plush pillow top mattress at close to $800.00 for the Cal. King size and were not even able to get one week of sleep on it before it started to sag and separate. We had previously been sleeping on a custom ...
Pros: comfort comfort comfort Cons: do I have to get out of bed????
This mattress, though pricey unless purchased on sale, is more than worth the money. With the extra plush pillow top mattress one can feel as if in a cocoon all snuggled and safe. I had the opportunity to try out this mattress while visiting family ...
Pros: Was ok for the first few months. Cons: Bad sagging problem now, in less than 1.5 years
Got this mattress as a warranty exchange for a latex bed we purchased at Boscov's dept. store. Started out with a Eurotex Latex mattress from them, after a year, it developed bad sagging problems. They sent out an estimator who approved our claim, and ...
Pros: The bed was comfortable and loved that you can't feel the other person moving. Cons: We were so unhappy w/MattressExpo that we lodged a complaint with the BBB.
Less than 3mo. after buying our Simmons Medalist Blvd. 200 mattress for $1700, the sides started slanting. Within 5mo. of owning our mattress, it became more and more lopsided and the pillow top became loose on one side. It took 2mo. to get someone from ...
Pros: NOTHING IS GOOD ABOUT IT, it looks 7 yrs old, not 7 months Cons: The product is DEFECTIVE, it looks like it needs to be replaced already
Matthews Mattress in Davis sold me a defective mattress set(one side is higher and uneven), I reported it within 30 days, a warranty inspector came to my home, used a wood yard stick to measure the mattress, and to inspect my bed that I had before ...
Pros: none Cons: memory foam only seams to sink deeper by the night. Waste of money
This mattress is wonderful in the showroom until you get it home. We've had this mattress for less than two years and have hated it most of the time. I wiegh 180 and wife is 105. We both have sinkholes from the memory foam that doesn't work. After spending $1800.00 we decided that two years of torture is enough.
I cut the pillow top off with scissors!!!! by luv2fly5em ,Nov 16 '06
Pros: None Cons: like sleeping in a bowl!!!
I've had the mattress 2 years, and second everything that is said about the body impressions. I'm having back trouble for the first time in my life.
Today, out of desperation, I took scissors to it. I cut off the entire pillow top. I have added my own memory foam that you can buy at places like Bed Bath and Beyond. So far, it's much improved!!!
Pros: it was comfortable for 3 months Cons: broke down easily, hard on your neck and back,
My husband and I thought that we were in heaven when this bed was delivered. After about 3 months our neck and back started aching and we were miserable! We also noticed that the pillow top was bunching up and it looked loose. The store replaced it and we though that we had just gotten a bad mattress. Our new one arrive and we have been having trouble ever since. My husband and I would rather sleep on the floor that on this mattress...and we do!!! We are shopping for a new bed, and I wanted to tell the people who were laying on this bed to run. Please do not get pressured into this bed, there are better alternatives.
Pros: Comfort in the first few months Cons: Comfort after the first few months, no warranty that gets you anything...
After trying multiple mattresses - waterbeds, Sealy, etc... we decided to try a king size Beautyrest Worldclass from 800 mattress. The bed was okay in the beginning (the pillowtop was a little hot). Now, only 4 years later, the bed sags. We rotated it regularly, but it's too uncomfortable to sleep in. We checked into the warranty - what a joke. If the bed is in showroom condition, they'll give you a mattress for the amount you paid towards the list price of a new Beautyrest mattress. Considering most stores regularly offer a 50% discount, it's not such a great deal. Our mattress listed for 2400... we paid 1400 so now it will cost us 1000 to get a replacement that will only last another 3-4 years? Not such a great deal.
