Pros: Very smooth riding mower. Floating deck makes all the difference.

    Pros: It looks nice.
Cons: They break easily. It is very difficult to change the oil.

Summary: I have had my 38 inch Simplicity Broadmoor for about 5 years. Although I loved it at first, over the past three years it has been nothing but a headache. The engine went. Then the turbo belts broke. One after another. I got the upgrade and that broke the ... read more

Pros: Overall the major systems are high quality. I expect it to last several years.
Cons: Hard to steer. Two batteries instead of one. Deck adjusting handle is poorly located.

Summary: I purchased a new DLX Landlord with 17 HP water cooled engine four years ago. Major systems including engine, transmission, mowing deck, etc. have been acceptable. It smokes a little on start up. The engine is cold blooded and difficult to keep running ... read more

Pros: Great cut, great on hills, hydro runs great, easy oil change
Cons: Doesn't sip gas and the discharge chute MUST be re-engineered, a but pricey

Summary: Just bought mine in Summer 2011, mows great, great on hills, burns through gas fast though, and whoever engineered the discharge chute needs to be fired- the design "catches" when you back you, mine has been ripped off entirely many times. Still, can't ... read more

Pros: Wonderful mowing, there is no other tractor that mows as nice.
    Cons: Junky, unserviceable, unrepairable transaxle.

Summary: I love Simplicitys and the way they mow.  My folks used to have Simplicitys back in the 60's and when I got some acreage, that's what I got.  However, I've had nothing but trouble with the 90's vintage Hydro trannys.  My first Broadmoor I ... read more

Summary: I have an older Broadmoor (1996?) with a 14 Horsepower single-cylinder Kohler engine. The deck comes off very easy, within 1 minute. Because of the rollers across the back of the deck, it has a very even cut and leaves very visible stripes. The ... read more
