Cons: limited duty equipment

This little addition to my household tools has earned its keep several times over. It performs its job of screwing and unscrewing with plenty of torque for most jobs. The battery quality is good as it has lasted several years without any special maintenance. I'm finally needing a heavier duty cordless driver and would like to buy a Skil driver simply on the performance of this tool and my Skil saw. I definitely recommend buying it for your household needs!

Pros: Handy, cheap
Cons: Battery bleed-down means its not as handy as it could be

When new, this product works fine. But it suffers from the old Nickel battery complex.

If you keep it on the charger all the time, the batteries will lose capacity & wear out within a year or two.

If you don't, you'll find the batteries are always dead when you need the damned thing.

(NiCd batteries bleed down at somewhere between 1.5-2% per day.)

Since the whole point of this is for it to be handy when you need it, that is a HUGE disadvantage. If you can remember to throw it on the charger the night before you need it, that is the ideal use.
