Pros: Product does exfoliate skin, but I think a loofa pad would be cheaper. Cons: Product does not work as promised.
A big thumbs down to Smooth Away.
I admit it, I was sucked in by a "as seen on TV" television ad which is something I never, ever let happen - until now. What woman cannot resist a commercial which promises hair removal instantly and pain free? So I bought the Smooth ...
Pros: Not painful. Great exfoliater. Cons: Burns sensitive areas. Doesn't remove much hair.
I love/hate infomercials. I love dreaming about how easy these products will make my life but I hate knowing that almost all of these products are too good to be true. And while the prices often sound reasonable, the shipping and handling ...
Pros: Good for removing fine facial hair with some microdermabrasion. Cons: Need to buy refills. Doesn't work as well on all hairs or contours.
Smooth Away is a hair removal system using ultra-fine sandpaper and an applicator. The hair removal is painless (somehow the hairs are caught in the sandpaper and maybe either gently yanked or sanded off at skin level), but the process involves a ...
Pros: Fast, easy to use, no cuts, great price and more Cons: None
I have used similar products to the Smooth Away hair removal product before. they sell a pretty good knock off that came before this through the Dr. Leonard catalog. After having tried both though I would have to give my honest opinions in saying that ...
Pros: Works well and the skin is smooth to touch afterward. Cons: Tingling feeling from exfoliation a little disturbing.
Smooth Away according to the late-night info commercials removes hair instantly and pain free. When I found this product in the Starcrest catalog for a mere 7 dollars, it was time to give it a try.The package arrived in a ...
Pros: Easy, Exfoliates Cons: Doesn't remove all of the hair.
Smooth Away is a hair removal product. The idea is to rub specially designed pads on your skin and it will rub away the hair. Description I bought mine for $10 at CVS with a %25 off coupon. I received a large and small applicator; four large ...
Pros: Hair removal and skin exfoliation in one. Cons: Pads have to be replaced too often. Hair has to be very short or fine.
I saw this product on TV for the first time last year. As usual, the "As Seen on TV" comercials tend to make the products seem a little too good to be true and I was skeptical. Of course deep inside I wished it would really work the way it was portrayed. ...
Pros: None! Cons: Over priced and does not work as advertised.
I recently made the mistake of purchasing the Smooth Away hair removal system. The web site does not give the choice of purchasing just one set, instead you get two sets for the price of one, but must pay double the postage...so essentially the ...
Pros: easy painless very effective on legs Cons: not enough replacement pads
Bought the Smooth Away at Target for $10-I had been intrigued from the informercial for awhile, but had my doubts. The pack I got comes with 5 replacement pads each for the 2 sizes, so its really not a bad valueMy husband opened it and ...
Pros: Seems to buff & smooth skin a bit. Removed some fine hairs. Cons: Time-consuming and unimpressive results. Not effective at hair removal.
I just bought this product from an "As Seen on TV" store at the mall yesterday. I figured that for about $12, it wasn't a particularly expensive risk. But unfortunately, I just flushed $12 down the toilet because this product does NOT ...
Pros: Exfoliates. Gentle. Cons: TAKES FOREVER. Not practical.
It's not like sand paper, I've read a lot of reviews like that. It's very soft but only removes a VERY small amount at a time. Doing your legs will take hours. This isn't a very practical item.
Pros: None Cons: Didn't remove the hair. Left the area a little irritated.
I purchased Smooth Away thinking I could use it for some of those places I'd prefer not to use a razor for. I tested it on two different areas. Other than getting rid of dead skin Smooth Away didn't work.
removes hair but doesnt last by wheeless0411 ,Jun 15 '09
Pros: Would be good for travellers. (no need to check it on airplane) Does exfoliate well Cons: Pads dont last small one awkward to use some irritation
It removed hair on my legs was tough on bony or awkward areas. It does make your legs very smooth but the pads run out quick, (one pad will do 2 calfs- but only just) I thought my legs would stay smooth longer than shaving but it didnt came back just as quick.
The small one, i personally couldnt get to work it was weird to use and couldnt make it go in smooth circles so it just irritated my skin without removing any hair.
DO NOT BUY SMOOTH AWAY PRODUCT it is not worth your money at all by shalynn ,Apr 27 '09
Pros: it smoothes away ,crystals, commecial looks cool and appealing, girly, clean, you think it would work Cons: skin ashy, red, bumps, they supports savings2go (which are major scammers) does not remove any hair
This product is one of the worst products as seen on tv! This product makes your skin smooth, but leaves your skin ashy & red. It doesn't even remove hair.If you are thinking of buying this product.. please buy it at your local walgreens or riteaid because online or calling is a rip off to order it. I ordered smooth away online and they didn't even give me a total with shipping etc.. and also they support Savings2go which is a company that is partially a scam. look savings2go on google and you will see several complaints about fraud. because when i ordered this product savings2go charged my credit card without authorization $14.95 for three months.. they claimmed that i had a "membership" i had to call them and terminate it.. so be very careful if you are ordering this product online or over the phone.. just save yourself the hassle and do not buy this product..I mean honestly i am writing this and taking the time to write this when i could be doing something esle to tell you NOT TO BUY THIS
Pros: Easy to useInexpensiveGreat exfoliation Cons: Does work on all body areas
Unlike the other reviewers, I found this product worked very well. My legs are both hair free and very smooth. I used it before showering. I used it on my legs, my upper lip and my underarms. The skin on my upper lip was a bit sensitive the following day, but considering every other product I have ever used has turned my upper lip red, this didn't seem so bad. I had absolutely no burning or irritation on my legs. It didn't work as well on my underarms, however. But what I did notice was that when I ended up shaving my underarms after trying Smoothaway, shaving was more effective than it usually is. I don't have terribly hairy legs, so maybe that's why it worked better for me than for others who have posted here. I am quite happy with the product.
