Pros: Clear interface, accurate readings, not too hard to figure out how to use. Cons: Expensive, must pay annual fee to download courses, device failed after 1.5 years

Sky Caddie SG4 Handheld GPS
by lanceheather ,Sep 15 '09
Pros: Accurate, easy to set up and use, beneficial to all levels of golfer. Cons: Not color like the SG5 (does not affect the functionality), satellite connection sometimes slow.
The Sky Caddie SG4 is an excellent GPS that has taken strokes off my game. The screen is clear and easy to read. The score keeping function is easy to use and very helpful for keeping score without a scorecard. It comes with a belt clip allowing it to sit much like a cell phone on your belt line. The registration process is easy to follow and there are several packages available for purchase depending the scope of courses you want access to. I bought a plan for $30 which gives me access to all of the courses in my state. I was impressed by how many local courses were listed and the quality of the GPS mapping. Downloading new courses is easy to do and is done in seconds. The battery life will more that accommodate 18 holes of golf without recharging. Overall, a great addition to help improve your golf game and lower your scores.
