Pros: It's mindless fun, the best kind of fun there is. Cons: The metal ones are hard to find and the plastic ones are too fragile.
Summary: Slinky is proof positive that some of the greatest inventions don't produce fancy gadgets, blinking lights and cost a bundle. Slinky is a piece of wire curved many times over. This should not be any fun! Why can't I stop playing with it.
