Cons: Problematic software; lousy support and customer service

I had originally bought FAXstf X for use with OS X 10.1. After I upgraded to Panther, I downloaded the FAXstf update on SmithMicro's website. Now FAXstf is constantly crashing (or the applications from which I fax crashes), or incoming faxes get cut off in the middle.
I called customer service (no 800 number - 20 min on hold!), where a very unfriendly customer service agent informed me that, since I didn't buy the newest version of FAXstf for Panther but downloaded the update, I do not qualify for customer support.
I use a lot of different software products, but FAXstf is the most problematic one. Even worse, I have NEVER experienced such unprofessional customer (dis)service with any computer-related product I purchased.
