I am just an amateur photographer and decided to move into continuous lighting for my portraits since the flash/strobes are hard to 'foretell' the result on. After talking to many more-experienced photographers I decided to try these tungsten lights with my Digital Sony DSC-F717...and whaddayaknow...: I can arrange the lighting upfront and see the results befoer i snap away. Great results so far.
The lights do get a little hot but I use umbrellas to shine through and that also keeps away any serious heat from my subjects.
The stands are stable and the cords (10ft) are long enough. Altogether a good deal. They say it comes with a case, but that's bull: it's just the cardboard box with compartments.
