Pros: Cheap, easy to set up, children and dogs love it. Cons: Not tear proof, kind of a pain to clean.
With summer going to be here in a few month I thought I would write about a pool that for us didn't last past last summer. Though I don't believe that that had anything to do with the product itself, but because of our two dogs. Or maybe I should say ...
Pros: cheap, easy to set up and maintain, fun for everyone Cons: none
When the dog days of summer arrived last year and it was hot enough to fry an egg on my back porch steps, I knew it was time to do something! I had decided not to purchase a pool membership because of my crazy work schedule and because the waves of heat...
Pros: inexpensive, large enough for at least one adult Cons: not very sturdy walls, bottom liner easily torn, patch kit included
While my parents had an in ground pool, I purchased this pool to use on the deck when my boys were about 2 and 6 for a way for them to splash around and cool off without having to use the safety life vests as with the big pool! OF COURSE WE ALL KNOW ...
Pros: Sturdy, visually pleasing, deep Cons: Not good on uneven ground
Contrary to the belief of some, winter does not rule the weather kingdom of Minnesota. We get a lot of hot steamy humid warm days. Just last week we had two days that were in the 90's, and it's only June!
Pros: A good size pool that many kids can play in. Easy to let water out. Cons: Bottom can easily puncture, sides crack and split, can be difficult to keep sides up.
I have purchased one of these pools each summer for five years or so. Sometimes the pool will make it two summers, if you have an adequate place to store it (I don't). My children LOVE this pool, and I'll give you a few reasons WHY.
Pros: cute design, large, easy to put up Cons: easy to tear
Yesterday I was, once again, in the store to purchase a new kiddy pool. Sadly, our inflatable one with the canopy (see my review on that) had several holes and before I got a chance to fix them, the entire pool bit the dust in a storm we had. We...
Pros: Big enough for the whole family Cons: Not very sturdy with out side support; Seams have a tendency to develop holes; hard to empty.
I was looking at the description of this pool, and one of the things that it said was, "No assembly required -- just roll out and fill!" Ok, this is partially true. True, there is no assembly required, and true, you will unroll the pool, but...
Pros: Sides stay up with the pool less than half full. Easy to empty water to clean. Fits adults and children with plenty of play room.. Cons: Takes a little while to fill and warm up.
We had the Intex 6' Snapset Pool and totally loved it. Through teamwork - my son dumping a large amount of dirt in and me snagging the pool on a metal brace while attempting to clean it - we managed to tear the bottom. So, I decided that since...
It has already been a very hot summer here in Indiana, and last week, I decided to find my children a pool to cool off in on those sticky days of summer. I must say that I was trying to be cheap. I wanted a large pool-large enough that I couls sit in...
I looked around in different stores before I came upon the snapset Rainbow pool. I was looking for a way for my younger daughter to be able to cool off on a hot day, and have fun. This pool is easy to assemble and
holds just the right amount of...
Pros: Lightweight, easy to fill and empty Cons: Not impervious to punctures; dogs nails can poke holes in bottom too.
We used to buy these all the time when my daughter was little, graduating from the smaller ones to the larger 18" deep pools when she was older. We loved putting it at the bottom of her plastic, wavy slide (part of our large wood playset) and making our own waterslide with our garden hose! One year that's how I entertained my daughter, then about 8 years-old, and a couple of neighborhood kids (ranging from about 7-10 years-old). The pools was very sturdy, easy to empty and move when necessary. Alas, the sliding board finally poked a hole in the lining that I couldn't find time to repair and was never able to find another pool. My daughter, now 15, doesn't want to let me give her playset away in case we can find another pool!
