Pros: light weight, affordable, lot's of features for the money, easy to use. Cons: None!
FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE:
We purchased this camera a few months ago prior to our wedding and honeymoon. We carried the camera with us on our cruise to Cozumel, Mexico and Grand Cayman. I was impressed with the ease of using this camera as I am not...
Pros: Night Vision (0 Lux), Steady Shot, Halogen Lamp, 460X zoom, Affordable Cons: Not Digital, Capacity of Included Battery, Sony batteries devastatingly expensive
This video camera is certainly not the best out there...yet it is not the worst. I would say that this video camera gives you the middle ground features and also the middle ground price. This was the determining factor that resulted into the purchase...
Pros: affordable, good quality picture, night vision, battery charges quickly Cons: short battery life, zooming out angle not wide enough
I have had this camera for about four months now and I have really enjoyed my time with it. It's an excellent choice for families or single people who can't afford more but still want a small, "handy" camcorder to capture memories on tape.
Pros: Affordable, high quality, entry level camcorder with everything you need. Excellent Value. Cons: Batteries are pricey, wide angle could be wider.
We have wanted a camcorder for some time now, and finally decided to go ahead. The options and features out there are formidable.
As far as digital vs analog recording: We decided that we would not likely be doing a lot of editing on the...
Pros: Great video camera... nice video, nice sound, great features. Cons: Cant watch videos with a VCR, must have video plugs on TV.
I got this camera as a self-purchase about a year ago. Since then I have recorded everything on many trips me and my friends have been on. Recording is so easy with this little camera, and it's so light it can be carried almost anywhere.
Pros: A lot of effects, its a SONY.Easy to use Cons: Short battery life.kind of bulky
I recently bought a Sony CCD-TRV308 Hi8 Camcorder. So far so good.I have been a Sony fan for a long time, because Japanese products are known to last forever and are very well built.e.g. Toyota,Honda,Nissan etc..Back to the Camcorder,It comes with a ...
Pros: Great Camera for the price Cons: battery doesn't last long, but you can buy another one.
I brought this camera a couple months ago and it is everything I need. It isn't a digitial camera, but it is the closest thing to one.
This camera has a lot of great features such as NightShot- that allows you to video films at night- and...
Pros: Easy to operate good resolution, 0 lux infrared mode. Cons: Not a high end digital quality picture Cannot use VCR tape adapter to play.
It's easy to be confused by what's out there now in camcorders. VHS-C, Hi 8, Digital 8, mini DV etc. I picked the Hi 8 format because the picture quality is good and the price was reasonable for what we are using it for. We are not currently transferring...
Pros: Small, great video quality, good battery life, color LCD screen rules, good zoom, NIGHTVISION. Cons: Nothing really, for the price that's why I bought it, I liked everything.
I take this thing everywhere with me. It's been to sandy islands off the Georgia coast, out in the snow and rain in Massachusetts, and is used often. The video quality is excellent, and the zoom is impressive. I know some other models have a longer zoom,...
Love the camera, mad at Sony by mickbunk ,Jun 16 '05
Pros: I like the camera and most of it works real good. Cons: The night shot feature is stuck in the on position.
My problem is Sony not doing anything to back up it's defects. They want you to send the camera in for a minimum
$200.00 repair for whatever!! the repair. The night shot feature got stuck on my 2 year and one month old camera and they don't stand behind their workmanship... I'm really disappointed with Sony!
I used to have two camcorders before, a JVC and Cannon. JVC was not so bad, but the Cannon was a piece of shit. Since I bought TRV308 I can enjoy filming family scenes and tons of other great stuff. If you are looking for a dependable and an easy-to-use camera, then TRV308 is the best deal.

I've had two VHS-C (Panasonic & JVC) cameras and they were both pretty lousy. The Panasonic was okay but the JVC was a piece of crap. This is my first Sony Hi 8 and I just love it. Completely easy to use, with many of the camera's features were learned simply by navigating through the menu window. We shot some family scenes and the picture quality/workmanship make this camera a winner. Definitely, if your in the market for a camera, the 308 is good choice!
this past weekend my girlfreind brother, cousin, and i went rabbit hunting and took it along for the rabbit hunt. got a lot of good footage and i look forward to buying one to take on my many hunting trips.
