Pros: sounds good, not too expensive, digital programming, remote controlled Cons: none
To me, Sony has been a trusted name in electronics for years. I have used many of their products including my current television, VCR, DVD Player, and Tuner. The purchase of the Song CFD-350 Boombox was to have a stereo that could be hooked up in the ...

Pros: Sound OK, takes abuse, looks good and sleek after being tossed around. A good value Cons: Should not be labeled a "BOOM" box.
We have had the Sony CFD-S350 Radio/Cassette/CD Boombox in our home for the last couple-a-few years. It's primarily used by my daughter and my wife for portable audio play of CDs. There are times when a small personal CD player or iPod won't do. Many ...

Pros: Inexpensive portable, better than most. Cons: Obvious cost cutting here.
I needed a work radio. But one that I consider "expendable" as my coworkers also use it. But I did'nt want a POS neither. Years ago I remember when those HUGE boomboxes were all the rage. The bigger and louder, the better. I have a few still in good ...

Quick review: Not worth the money
by snyderj ,Dec 22 '05
Pros: Sleek and small. Plays CDs and tapes. Cons: Dreadful sound quality
I tried this unit out recently at a store and was so unimpressed that I thought I should write a quick note about it. For $60 you can do so much better. If you want a small portable CD/tape/radio, go for something around $30 instead. The mechanical aspects seemed good but the sound was like the $20 radio I won last year, and was horrid compared to the $80 equally sized portable next to it.

Better than many
by charliek2 ,Jul 09 '06
Pros: The machine has a nice rounded appearance. "Mega bass" control. Cons: No auto-reverse so you can only play one side of a tape
This boom box has both CD and cassette. Record from the radio or CD. The remote controls only the Cd and radio functions; the only remote function for the tape deck is volume control. Older better-quality boom boxes used to have a variety of input/output jacks. Now, with the prominence of CD, those seem to be lacking. Also lacking is the option for auto-reverse and/or continuous play of the cassette.
