I'm very happy with my new Sony CLIE PEG-N760C

by opinionated3 opinionated3 is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Computer Hardware, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Feb 22 '02
Pros: Great color screen and light weight.
Cons: Have to purchase an extra memory stick to store enough MP3 titles.
I have only recently discovered what I have missed not owning a personal digital assistant or PDA before now. The very first one I bought was a Sony Clie PEG-S320 and I love it. Two weeks ago I received a present from my mother in the mail. She...

Sony CLIE PEG-N760C

by bluehawq Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Jan 16 '02
Pros: Built-in MP3 Audio Player unlike with other models. Good screen display.
Cons: Flip case problems and battery life issues. Only 8MB Memory Stick.
Sony CLIE PEG-N760C

I suppose that it would not have made a big difference whether I bought the Sony CLIE PEG-N760C new or used. Even though I did buy it as "previously owned", I have heard and read at various places that...

The Ultimate Palm OS PDA.

by lavoisier Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Feb 04 '02
Pros: MP3 player, color screen, 8MB memory stick, jog dial, multimedia capabilities.
Cons: Memory stick, pricey, rather bulky and heavy, USB only, limited accessories.
For those who are really looking for the ultimate color Palm powered handheld, the long wait is now over, thanks in part for Sony to contribute by offering the Sony Clie PEG-N760c. The Sony Clie PEG-N760c is the replacement for the Sony Clie PEG-N710c,...

Cant get any better - Clie 760C

by neptun15 , Jan 18 '02
Pros: Mp3, Screen, Colour, Features, FRONTLIGHT.
Cons: Memory stick supplied only 8 megs... Thats it.
For Christmas I wanted to get a PDA as I need to succesfully organize my daily, weekly, monthly - etc - plans. A year ago my friend got the M505 and I loved it. What I didn't like about it, however, was the brightness of the screen. Recently I came...

Sony makes a fun and useful product, but be prepared...

by barnardcol , Jan 10 '02
Pros: great screen resolution, color, MP3 and movie player
Cons: screen easily scratches, does not interpret graffiti as well as Palm devices
When Air France cut open my luggage lock and removed my Palm m505 without telling me, somewhere between Dusseldorf and Boston, I realized that I couldn't live without my Palm device. So I decided that if I had to spend the money to get a new one, I...

Sony Clié, a Worthy PDA

by SlideFlash , Mar 02 '02
Pros: Bright, 16-bit color display Built-in MP3 audio player Headphones and remote-control
Cons: Memory Sticks not cheap
Sony's Clié N760C combines the best of a Palm OS handheld computer and an MP3 player. Bulkier than your average audio player, it still manages to be sleek enough that you'd consider taking it out just for music-listening purposes. And you'll have all...

Almost perfect - but still a ways to go

by secondmidnite , Mar 13 '02
Pros: Color screen. Music player. All the values of a Palm handheld.
Cons: High price. Power cable. short battery life. Needs more memory.
The Sony Clie N760C gets the SecondMidnight "This is sweet!" award. By far, this is a large step for Palm handhelds - and a step in the right direction.

The right stuff
Sony, bar far, has the best finger on the pulse of what...

One of the best!

by millerbrad , Feb 04 '02
Pros: High-resolution screen; JogDial; plays MP3s out of the box
Cons: Dust gets under screen; easily scratchable screen; flimsy-feeling buttons
Sony's Clie PEG-N760C is a true "diamond in the rough" when it comes to Palm-OS-based PDAs. It's high-resolution, 16-bit color screen is, by leaps and bounds, much better than anything offered by any other Palm PDA.

The N760C has 8MB of RAM,...

Sony Clie N760C PDA

by vova123 , May 23 '03
Pros: Great Color Screen, mp3 player, expandible memory. Sleek & Compact
Cons: 8mb memory, screen easily scratches.
Recently I had won an auction on ebay for this pda. I wasn't really looking for a color pda but since the current bid was $70.00 I took a chance and won the unit for $86.

When it finally arrived I started using it right way, my main surprise...

Not a great leap, but a very sophisticated pirouette

by thyris , Feb 22 '02
Pros: Expandability; Screen res & colour; MP3 playback; Designed well
Cons: Complicated music format management; No voice recording; Larger than others
Let's face it, when you pay for Sony, you're more likely to be paying for their small army of edgy-mainstream designers rather than the actual technology.

So it is with the Clie PEG-N760C, Sony's competitor to Palm's m505. Both have colour...

Clie is a must-have if you need a PDA

by funchy , Feb 07 '02
Pros: Color, compatibility, MP3 player
Cons: Cover keeps falling off, 8 Meg memory stick too small to be useful
The Sony Clie is my first PDA. Santa Claus brought it to me for Christmas, so it was a bit of a surprise. I immediately had to start playing with what looked to be my favorite of all my Christmas gifts.

It was easy to use, even for me who...

Cons: I'm Still Working On That

Perfect for a college student

by afhouston , Dec 15 '02
Pros: Hi-res screen, mp3 playback, memory stick expansion, jog dial
Cons: Mediocre battery, scratch-prone screen
For value conscious college students, this is the best PDA on the market, assuming you get it for less than $250. Going on that, here's why:

1) Display
This TFT Reflective front-lit 320x320 screen produces more than 65,000 colors....

The best Palm OS PDA EVER!!

by rameshmantha , Jan 13 '02
Pros: brilliant dazzling color screen, memory stick slot, MP3 audio, rotating dial, back button
Cons: flimsy buttons hard to press. arcade games difficult. Screen scratch prone use Fellowes protector
I have owned quite a few PDAs in the past, the PALMIII, the Palm V, the Visor and now the CLie 760C. I can say without a doubt that the 760C is by far head and shoulders above the other cheap devices that are out running the PALM oS.

The...

The best PDA out there

by kingofthehuns , Jan 17 '02
Pros: HiRes, integrated media features, stylish look, MP3, PalmOS 4.1
Cons: relatively bulky, bad carry-cases
Finally SONY came out with the CLIE, which does it all, what you missed from all other PDAs. The major improvement is the screen. It is 320x320 instead of the 160x160, and SONY included it's high resolution fonts, which is so easy to read, once you had a...
