Pros: Excellent images. Battery life. Versatility. Nice videos. Relatively little redeye. Cons: Auto-focus stumbles with in-motion and low-light subjects. Relatively proprietary (i.e., battery, memory card, USB connection).
I've had this camera for several months now. It is small, versatile, with outstanding battery life, and takes wonderful candid pictures. But beware, it will not substitute for a SLR/DSLR camera in situations where the subject is in motion, especially ...

Pros: light, easy to use, clear, quick charge Cons: screen is not protected - can scratch without a case
I purchased this camera back when Best Buy only carried 5PM camera as the "top of the line" models...ahhh the dark ages...well today 7PM is pretty much standard and the price has dropped to the floor on this camera. But it is without a doubt the best ...

Pros: Battery life, size, design, quality of photos Cons: MemorySticks are terribly expensive, noise and blurriness in low light situations
I have actually owned this camera twice. I sold it to a good friend in favor of the then-new DSC-N1. Unhappy with the N1, I auctioned it off on eBay and bought this same model again from RitzCamera. I have had this model for at least four years now. My ...

Pros: Image quality, fast, rechargeable battery, movie mode, Cons: none
I wasn't so sure we should be spending quite so much on a camera when we already had one that worked just fine. But when we got this one, boy was I impressed. This thing had to many features and good points about it I was blown away. The image quality is ...

Pros: Very quick - minimal shutter lag, great battery, good image quality. Cons: A tricky camera to hold if you are in a rush.
I spent a considerable amount of time researching digital cameras – primarily because there are so many, maybe too many, models on the market. I needed a camera that my wife and I would use. It would have to fit in a purse, be quick to use, take a good ...

Pros: small, fast Cons: photo quality not consistent. Some good, some bad.
I traded up from an Olympus 3mp. My old camera took consistently good photos, but I like to do alot of cropping, and I thought upgrading to 7.2mp would give me greater ability in that area. Also, I wanted a smaller camera. I must say that I've ...

We LOVE this camera! We've had it for a year and have been impressed time and time again with the quality of photos (resolution & vibrant colors), extensive list of settings with a user-friendly menu, quick processing time when zooming in, ultra-clear 2" ...

Pros: Takes amazing quality pictures. Be prepared for compliments! Cons: Not Durable. Breaks Down unpredictably.
Many other reviewers have written about the specs and such so I will not waste your time repeating. What I do know about this camera is that it has "frozen-up" on me twice now and I have owned it only for 4 months. By "frozen-up" I mean that the camera ...

Pros: nice sleek shape, easy to use, nice LCD and great battery life. Cons: Blurry photos every once in a while, movie is not good.
I pay only $190 from circuit city online after rebate.
very nice looking, great LDC, easy to use but at the end some photos came blurry so I have to take many pictures and delete some of them before printing them. also movies are not good.

Pros: Small size. Cons: Poor low light focus, flash does not fire when shutter is open.
I wanted a small point and shoot to carry around instead of my SLR. I am very disappointed in this camera. It does not focus well in low light settings and the flash does not fire when the shutter is opened. I have liked Sony products in general but this one is a very poor performer. It sits in a closet except when I think that I might figure out something to make it work correctly. I have tried and I am capable but the camera does not function well at all. It lasted less than 3 months in good operating condition.

This is a high quality camera
by tpallotta ,Apr 24 '06
Pros: Small and Light so it's easy to hold, takes great pictures, record small video clips Cons: Have to read the manual to learn how it works
This camera takes great pictures. I've had it for almost 1 year now, and still haven't been able to figure everything out. I don't like reading manuals, and it's not easy to learn on my own. It has a really long battery life, and holds a ton of pictures. I love to take mini video clips with it too. That feature works great!

DSC-P200/R is Small and Sleek, Very Handy
by patsar ,Jul 12 '05
Pros: Good quality pictures for normal photography and lot of provision for extra accessary. Cons: Provision for charging could have been better.
Sony has gone a long way in digital photography. This small DSC-P200 is very handy to use. This is not a camera for Pro's though it say over 7MP. It absolutely at its best in bright sun light out doors. Don't expect very high quality pictures while in doors with moderate lighting. I like the overall design and the light weight of the camera. I have the Red version it is really cool. All in all i like his camera for a handy use and not for serious photoghaphy. Unlike the newer lighter models Sony has come up with this has the provision for mounting it on a tripod which is very handy at times. The only feature i don't like in this camera is the way to charge this camera. You need to open a door which is very small and tiny and then insert the cable in for charging instead Sony could have made a different kind of charging provision like in cell phones and still be elegant looking.

Too high tech for this camera novice...
by danitexas ,Dec 30 '06
Pros: Sleek, takes great pictures! Cons: blurred pictures, shutter lag time
I really love the video feature! The only problem - is with taking pictures in motion... they tend to come out blurred. I've tried adjusting the aperture, without success. Also - a friend "toyed" with my camera - changed a few settings which in turn locked up the zoom lens! Lesson learned - do NOT let a friend mess with your electronics! It also has a pretty long shutter lag time - which isn't a problem unless you take a lot of pictures of your children. By the time the picture is taken, the "pose" or moment has passed.
