Pros: Excellent features and performance, battery life, image quality Cons: High noise levels at ISO 200-400, uses Memory Stick media, proprietary USB/A/V cable

Cyber-Shot DSC-S40, I decided to try the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-S60. I got it for $186 - some $30 more than what the S40 cost. The camera has a larger screen than the S40 and ...
Pros: large screen, excellent photo quality, quiet operation, large movie capture Cons: horrible-terrible-awful manual, needs rechargeable batteries, annoying USB cord
I purchased this Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S60 for my parents, but have been using it extensively for the last week to see how it performs. I have owned both Kodak and Nikon brand digital cameras in the past, and had high expectations for this Sony. The ...
Pros: Size, features/cost, 32MB INTERNAL, long battery life Cons: If you dont shop around, this camera can be expensive - especially being new.
This is my 2nd Sony camera. My first one (DSC-S85 from 2002 @$500) is an excellent camera - but wife wife wanted something smaller that she could drop into her hand bag. This camera has features that my older camera doesn't even offer. If you want a ...
Pros: Price, big LCD screen, solid feel, good pictures, Made in Japan Cons: $$ expensive memory sticks, doesn't save rotated pics
Just got this camera at Staples Business Depot. Regular price $319 Cdn then sale of $229 + additional coupon savings on line of $30 so net price was a great deal at $199 Cdn (or $160 US) + tax of course. So for this price, it's great value given these ...
Pros: Zeiss lens, hand grip, larger size than most digitals in the price range Cons: AA batteries need to be rechargeble type and charged daily.
SIZE: I always thought that I wanted a small spy camera until I tried to hold some of the small display models at camera stores. The Sony DSC-S60 camera is small but still has something of a grip to hold it. It has a wrist strap, but a neck strap would ...
Pros: 2" LCD screen, Fast USB 2.0, Excellent photo quality digital print outs of images Cons: None
This camera seems to be a solid performer for the few days that I have owned it. I have taken many types of pictures with this camera. The digital quality is impressive. To begin, the LCD screen is very, very sharp. Viewing shots taken are easily and ...
Pros: Lots of space, Fast startup, Good night time illumination, Large viewfinder Cons: Battery dies after 15-30 minutes, Models I bought might be defective
I just bought a Sony Cybershot S60 thinking it would work right out of the box. Boy was I wrong! I popped the batteries in and I turned on the camera. To my surprise, the camera turned on for half a millisecond and then died on me. I kept trying to ...
Pros: Size, Easy Use, 2" LCD Screen, tough body, USB 2.0 Cons: Short Battery Life, Delay between shutter button push and shutter taking picture
I've owned 3 different digital cameras before now... all were cheaper with less MB and performed worse than expected. I had purchased a Sony Camcorder last year and was extremely pleased with the ease of use and quality of moving pictures... thus when I ...
Pros: Small, quality pics, big screen, easy to use. Cons: manual isn't too good, doesn't take good up-close or motion pics (blurry)
I love my Cyber-Shot DSC-S60. It takes great pictures, very easy to use. This camera replaced my Sony Mavica (uses disks). I love all the different modes you can take pictures in, and you can change the size of the pic right on the camera.
The down sides to this camera are that is takes regular batteries and they die QUICK! I bought the rechargeable battery for this through Sony's website and it is so much nicer. The batteries last forever! Definitely a must-have if you get this camera. It also doesn't take great motion shots (very blurry) or good up-close (by up-close I mean really close like pics of jewerly or something small).
"The only camera I'll ever need" by ebmirador ,Aug 26 '05
Pros: Made in Japan. Nice sound(microphone+camera clicking sound.)Large LCD. Cons: No Carrying Bag. Alkaline batteries.
The picture quality is excellent. Best of all this model was made in Japan; but I know even the sony's made in china are still quality products. I love all the features on this camera, but I've tried many times to take pictures on the night mode and it requires you to be absolutely still or else the slightest hand movement will bring out a blurry picture. But I don't see this as a flaw, all I would need is a tripod. Software is simply to use. Movie mode is great, even the sound is crisp. But Would definitely need bigger memory for movies. I love how I can connect to the TV for large viewing via a/v cables. Wonderful. Alkaline batteries worked for a decent amount of time but rechargable are the way to go. Love the large LCD unlike some cameras with the dinky LCD's that are hard to view. The camera is a good size, not small, not large. But compared to some cameras it may be heavy, but I think that makes it easier to handle;another plus.
Pros: Affordable. Ease of use. Compact dynamo. Excellent pictures. It's a Sony. Cons: None I can think of.
I have just had this camera for a few days and I love it. The pictures are so sharp and crisp. The are a variety of manual settings for any photo situation, and a fool-proof automatic setting. My husband is away on a six month deployment so I wanted to a camera to get pictures of our daughter to send to him. It is so compact I can throw in my beach bag, purse, or backpack. It fits comfortably in your hand and is very easy to use. But be sure to shop around for a good deal, I got my camera off E-Bay brand new for $175. Also be sure to invest in a memory stick and rechargeable batteries, because those manual features which will drain regular alkaline batteries and take up a lot of memory.
Fell in love with this camera instantly!! by snowfether ,Jun 29 '05
Pros: Small and compact with big LCD display! Love the zoom feature and auto lens cover. Cons: None I know of as I've only had it 3 days.
Everything I need in a digital is in this little rascal! I'm thrilled with the reviews here, having read them after the purchase!! I lucked out on the price...I originally bought it at Sears for $230 but the next day found it at Wal-Mart for $180 (they said it was on clearance, how can that be when it's so new?). However, Wal-Mart was out of them within a 50 mile radius. The 128 memory stick was also on clearance (I paid $60 at Sears, $35 at Wal-Mart).
Went back to Sears and told them I found it at Wal-Mart for $50 less and the Memory Stick was on clearance also. They honored the price for the camera and gave me my money back on the memory stick, PLUS...they gave me an extra $5 for my trouble!!
