The Sony DSC-P31 is a digital camera that I have had for about four years now. It takes great pictures and it is a very reliable camera. I have since upgraded but my husband continues to use this camera quite frequently. I paid about $150 for it when ...

Performs As Much As It Costs

by kittenheel , Jan 31 '06
Pros: It takes good photos, it's very affordable, durable, easy to use and understand.
Cons: Flash and USB transfer to PC have stopped working. Battery indicator is defective.
This review is for those who are considering buying a second-hand Sony DSC-P31. Even though this camera is outdated (came out like 4 years ago), I guess it's still good to review it because at least I can say that I've spent enough time with it to really ...

Pros: Compact, ease of use, variety of functions, quality built
Cons: Not much flexibility, shutter lag, relatively low resolution
If you are trying to decide whether to make the move to a digital camera or not, this is a good entry-level camera to do just that. The Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P31 Digital Camera is compact and sizes up against the smallest of the portable digital cameras. ...

A very good digital camera.

by PhilipG , Aug 09 '02
Pros: Great price. Very easy to use.
Cons: Slow flash recharge. No optical zoom.
I previously owned a Sony DSC P20 digital camera. It was their low-end camera, and I must say it looked like it. With its blue plastic body, it almost looked like a toy. It was very small, and it was a 1.3 megapixel camera, so I was ready to move up...

by Westsider03 , Oct 18 '02
Pros: Light & solid. Easy & straight-forward to use. Crisp LCD viewfinder, fast bootup/shutdown
Cons: No optical zoom, port covers flimsy, flash needs recharging time, limited options
I really enjoy using this camera because using it is so easy. Options can be complex and learning them all can be a daunting task. The Sony DSC-P31 isn't like that at all. It's almost point and click easy. I'm glad it came free with our digital tv....

I bought a Sony P31 new in early/mid 2002. It was my first digital camera. The design was small and compact yet produced nice photographs on screen. Bare with me that I had this digital camera a while back and may not remember all the details of it. ...
