Pros: Fast operation, image quality, battery status indication, features, style Cons: Tricky tripod mounting, weak flash, Memory Stick, price, noisy ISO 400
After positive experience with the last year's S
ony
DSC-T1, I decided to check out the new super-compact models from Sony. I bought both the S
ony
DSC-T7 and the ...
Pros: Smallest camera package available with astonishingly good picture quality Cons: Cheesy battery compartment knob. Expensive memory sticks, flash prone to red eye
This review covers the Sony T7 in comparison to T1, T3 and T33. The T1 was a camera I craved for, for it's small design and it's astonishingly good pictures. This series beats the Casio Exilim in picture quality hands-down. While T3 and T33 where ...
Pros: Size, LCD, Picture Quality, Battery Life, Build Quality. Cons: Lens placement, Current Memory Prices, Limited availability of accessories.
If Size, good functionality, and a point & shoot camera are your goals Sony's DSC-T7 is a great choice. I had a hard time visualizing 5/8" which is the thickness of the DSC-T7. And since no stores seemed to have the T7 before my purchase I had to go on ...
Pros: Extremely cool, compact and well built. Cons: Small (duh), low light performance, cost.
I have been a Sony person for a few years. They have never let me down. I dont think they are always the best value but you never really regret buying a Sony. I own a very old Sony 2.1 Megapixel S50 and a not so old 5 Megapixel F707 (both of which ...
Pros: Tiny camera, quick turn on and picture taking, extremely portable Cons: Blurry pics if not careful, not super easy to charge/move pictures to computer
I may be as sophisticated as Gomer Pyle when it comes to knowing how to get everything out of the modern digital camera. I previously purchased a Sony DSC-V1, which had features out the ying-yang, and I tapped as many of those as I could with some ...
Pros: Slim and stylish, good picture quality outdoors, beautiful LCD screen, fast and peppy Cons: pricey, noisy low light images, often blurry photos half the day, better cameras exist
It is my hope that you find this review to be informative and helpful. Like many of my other reviews. The difference between this review in others is that this will not be a comprehensive review as I have been known to write in the past. There are a ...
Pros: Extremely easy to carry, great pictures and movies, large viewing screen Cons: Supplied 32MB Memory Stick not sufficient for 640 Fine Mode movies
I needed a camera to take on a business trip to China. I talked my boss into leaving the Sony DSC-F707 home and buying a new Sony DSC-T7. That was the best decision I have made in a long time. The size of the camera allows you to carry it everywhere ...
Pros: Very slim profile, excellent quality designed and built, nice large LCD viewing screen. Cons: Battery life, awkward for some people to hold, susceptible to shaking due to slim profile.
Just bought the T-7 with the original intent of replacing my T-1. The T-7 is a great looking low profile camera with a wide range of functions; probably more than you would need, but once you get the hang of it, then you won't even give it a second ...
Leave it to Sony to release a gadget camera of this magnitude. If your looking for a toy to add to your collection of micro sized electronics, this is the camera for you. If you care about how your photos are going to turn out then keep looking. The ...
Pros: Compact, super up close shots, good looking Cons: Not durable enough, not dust proof
I love this camera (is super compact - slips easily into your pocket, takes amazing up close shots - almost like a microscope, & sleek looking), however, it has some shortcomings. If you carry it in your pocket you will have lint and dust buildup on the ...
Pros: Size, startup and shooting speed, quality of picture and video, sturdy build Cons: Low light and high contrast ability
When compared to my other cameras, the Nikon D70, and a large SONY digital video camera, this camera is a perfect supplement. It fits in a shirt pocket, and is ready to take pictures and video almost immediately after turning it on. In well lit ...
Pros: Small size, fast turn on to shoot time, great zoom, clear pictures. Cons: My Cyber-shot DSC-T7 lasted only 3 hours before failure. Sony didn't honor warranty.
I bought this Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T7 thinking I had gotten the finest "mini" camera made. I chose it over a mini Casio because I was buying it as a father's day gift. I declined BestBuy's extended warranty because my house is filled with Sony products ...
Pros: Compact, big screen, lots of features and easy to use. Cons: Expensive, expensive memories, bad performance on low light.
I bought this camera because of being really compact and lightweight, which was what I was looking for. Both Sonys I owned before had a really good performance (P72 & W5) so I believed that would be the case of the T7 as well. It wasn't. In the ...
Pros: size, picture quality, vga movies with sound, style, accessories available, good software Cons: battery life, no direct usb from camera.
Got my DSV-T7 from Abes of Maine for $459.00. Prior to purchase I had never seen the actual product since it was not available in stores. The camera arrived and fully exceeded my expectations. Here are my conclusions after using the camera for a ...
Terrible pictures, but great aesthetic by spemberton ,Jun 05 '05
Pros: Looks fantastic Cons: Awful pictures, that are a real let-down
I was really delighted when the camera arrived in the mail - it looks truly spectacular. I was quick to put it on charge, but unfortunately that's when my delight ended. The pictures this camera takes are just below par. It takes good photos if you want to do everything manually (focus, white balance, etc), but if I wanted to do that I would buy an SLR. The photos are all off in some way or another, all either washed out, too dark, over exposed, etc.
The truth is that I wanted a point-and-click camera to replace my trusty, but aging Canon S230. This definitely is NOT it. I have heard good things about the Casio and Canon ranges, and am now keeping my fingers crossed that I can return this unit without issue.
The caveat on everything I've said above, is that if you want something as a talking piece, the T7 is definitely it. It does look very, very cool. Such a shame that the photos are so miserable.
