Pros: Cheap, ergonomic shape, menu easy to navigate, good selection of graphics and ringtones-very personalizable Cons: Sound quality is terrible,
Got this phone as a replacement for my Nokia 8260 (wonderful phone, obsolete) and was sadly disappointed. The menu is easy to navigate, using a joystick instead of cumbersome buttons. The phone distorts both the listener and speaker's voice. The voice...
After having the Ericsson for only a month, I was fairly impressed with the phone. I loved the look and feel initially, but there was a flaw in the screen. The screen cracked without any damage to the outside lens or case. The screen is now blank with...
Pros: display, loud ringer, size, joystick, and easy menu search Cons: hard to figure out how to download images for the background. need special usb cable
I have had this phone about two weeks and I dig it. Sure the web phones are cool, but after you've had it a couple weeks it's just a phone with a short battery life. I had a Samsung phone that was cool but I couldn't wait to dump it and the plan. I...
Pros: Tons of functions, small, strong vibrate function Cons: A little heavier than some other modern phones, weak selection of rings
The Sony Ericsson T61LX is a fine phone with great functions. The body is small (it fits into the palm of your hand when talking, unless you have little baby claws for hands), although somewhat heavier than some other new phones. The phone has the...
don't buy this phone with AT&T service by cld43 ,Oct 23 '03
Pros: None. Cons: -End key flaky
-AT&T reports problems with this multiband phone
I bought this phone from an AT&T store, and it was the only multi-band phone they carried at that branch. I had to return one phone because the end key didn't work. I had to power off the phone to end some of my calls.
I also had a problem where it wasn't picking up one band of service. When my phone said "AT&T" (instead of "AT&T Wireless"), I got an error msg and couldn't make a call.
I had to call customer service 5 times before it was resolved, and one customer service guy said they had this problem a lot with this model only. While trying to resolve it, my phone would temporarily move into "AT&T Wireless" mode, so we couldn't test if fixes had worked. Apparently, in most phone you can force it to pick up one band or the other, but it's not a feature on this phone.
It's also hard to get the back off the phone (which I had to do several times during troubleshooting).
