Within the first week of purchasing this phone, I opened it up and the hinge broke in a straight line. It apparently was on the seam or a weak spot. The service provider, T-Mobile would not even speak with me aout it since I didn't buy their insurance. I sent the phone to Sony-Ericsson's repair outlet and they said it was not covered under the manufacturers warranty...even though it was a defect. They told me however that they have had numerous problems with the hinges on these phones breaking.
