Pros: Low light shooting, steady shot, HD quality, hard drive space, viewfinder and LCD, more. Cons: CCD censor, perhaps hard drive instead of flash memory, standard battery life.
Summary: For those looking at the XR500v, a newer series is coming out with the XR550v. I went with this model because I have already experienced it, knew it had great low light and steady shot, and wasn’t sure how the newer models would ... read more

Pros: Great pictures, many features, good low light capability, easy to shoot movies Cons: Screen/ viewfinder wash-out in sunlight, poor software, complex initially setup, flash burn on still pictures
