My wife and I recently decided to get rid of our old boob tube with the fuzzy picture and get a new television. We researched new plasma and lcd tv's for weeks before heading over to our local Sears store to check out their inventory. We started out ...

When our CRT TV finally gave out in March, 2008, I looked closely at the 32"-40" LCD units at Electronics Expo, and selected this one for $1169.10 . I had read in Consumer Reports that 720p is plenty of resolution for a 40" set, and I agree with their ...

I purchased this set new, in the box through a private seller on E-bay. It's labeled as a KDL-40SL130 which is the same as the KDL-40S3000, just re-labeled as its offered for sale solely through Costco and Sam's Club. My first out of the box ...

Clear picture, easy setup, easy to understand cable hookup by bobhank ,Dec 01 '08
Pros: Clear picture. Quick and easy setup. Lots of functions. Cons: The sony's are pricier than other brands.
I bought this TV last week, and it's been on ever since. I brought it home from Walmart, carried it into the room, and within 60-90 minutes, i had it screwed into it's stand and plugged in and working. The TV is relatively light, much lighter than my old picture tube TV that this replaced. I don't have cable, and this is my first TV that gets digital channels, which is a treat getting the extra channels. The old analog channels were snowy, and the new ones look much clearer. When the TV first starts, it allows you to scan through all the channels, and sets up the local stations. That helps, because it finds all the digital channels. Then, the remote menu lets me hide the non-digital channels. This 40" Sony Bravia retails for $1400. I got it on sale at Walmart for $900.
