Pros: indestructible, light, blocks out external sound really well, excellent sound quality Cons: cord extremely long, blocks out external sound really well, big
I'm murder on headphones. I've tried the ultra expensive super dooper do everything kind and the mega cheap while I'm in the Dollar Store I may as well get these type and everything in between. Headphones have an unfortunate tendency to break or go on...
Pros: Cheap, come with a long cord and a spiffy adapter. Cons: Poor sound quality, very poorly designed headband.
Audio gear is a tricky topic. Everyone has different tastes for their acoustic styles, not all music is perfect on all equipment, and there is no real definition of "perfect" in this realm anyway. Being non-visual and analog, it's hard to rate the...
Pros: Great sound quality for the price Cons: Ear cups hurt my ears (but I have a lot of piercings)
First, I'll start this by saying that if you've never read one of my reviews, my #1 hobby is music. I have music playing almost all day while I work, etc. and enjoy it in my leisure time as well. I spend about 90% of my money on music related items,...
The Sony MDR-CD160 (1996-2000) and the current MDR-CD180 are low-end full-size closed headphones with circumaural (around-the-ear) pads – “pleather” for the MDR-CD160, cloth for the MDR-CD180. Frequency response of both headphones is 16-20,000 Hz....
Pros: Light, inexpensive, and comes with plug adapter Cons: contoured backwards & has a 7ft cord
I’ve been using these headphones for 4 years now and have really enjoyed them. They’re light and they seal well to your head so they muffle a lot of the background noise. The headphones weren’t very expensive so I’ve used them a lot. I figure if they get ...
Living in a house with several other people, I have been enlightened with the realization that I cannot simply play loud music whenever I want (Well, I can, but I might get yelled at). Therefore, I was recently introduced to the world of (more than $5)...
Pros: Clear Sound, Good highs, mids, bass, low cost Cons: Could use a little more bass
You can say what you want about Sony products, but for me this set of headphones is the best I have exsperenced for the price. The Mids, bass, and highs are all exceptionally clear. I hooked these up to my 3 disk changer system at home, and I couldn't...
Pros: noise cancellation, good sound, PRICE Cons: bulky, bass not great
For the money, there is no better set of headphones on the market.
I tested Sony MDR CD180 against my co-worker's $80 phones and the Sony's sound was discernibly better. I bought this item from e-tronix for $15.99 and the price was right,...
Pros: good to acceptable sound
long, soft, round cord
very comfortable
awesome price
Cons: sound quality isnt perfect
If youre not an audiphile and a college student who always seems to be short on cash like me, these will get the job done. The sound quality is more than acceptable, although it has its lapses in certain situations, i can hardly noticc considering im ...
Pros: Cheep, nice sound, fairly comfortable. Cons: They let in unwanted outside noise.
I got these headphones a little while ago and i think they are pretty nice. I only had to spend twenty dollars on them which I felt was a pretty good price. I think that they have pretty good sound and seem to be pretty durable. These headphones are not...
Pros: Good sound, long cord, low cost Cons: Sound distorts at high volume
I have been using these headphones for a year and I am very happy with them. They are comfortable and they sound great. The long cord allows you to move around while wearing them. The best part is the price. I was surprised that such a great product was...
Pros: The Sony MDR-CD180 headphones look nice and come with a "stereo mini plug" Cons: The Sony MDR-CD180 headphones sound absolutely horrible.
I purchased the Sony MDR-CD180 headphones for $24. I am nothing but displeased with the sound. I listened to the phones through my Sony DE-545 receiver in 2 channel output, and through a discman I also own. These headphones sound worse than being inside...
Sounds as good and just as comfortable as the $149 Bose Triport by tdtran ,Jul 12 '06
Pros: cheap and sounds good Cons: none
I plugged this and my new $149 Bose Triport headphones into my iPod and could not tell the difference. Tried and tried. I ain't no audiophile but they sound the same to me.
Pros: VERY Comfortable, Miniplug and Adapter, Good sound, low price. Cons: A bit big, no gold plating on plug, slight bass distortion at higher volume.
Oh man are these headphones ever comfortable, I had previously bought ( and returned ) the MDR-V300s, they were sounded somewhat better bass-wise compared to these, but after an hour my ears began to hurt and get quite red, so having experienced that end of the spectrum, I returned them and went with the MDR-P180s ( the Canadian version of the CD180s I assume ) which I had tried previously and liked due to the comfort. Anyways these are extremely comfortable, fairly light, the sound is quite good, a little distortion at higher bass levels but it could be due to my EQ settings, the cord is a nice length, not too long, not short enough to accidentally rip out, did I mention the comfort? Nice soft ear pads, covers the whole ear so there's no pressure on the lobes, and comes with a miniplug and adapter. For the price, there's no reason why you shouldn't get these, if they're comfortable to you ( and why wouldn't they be ) then by all means, I highly recommend you get them.
