Pros: The S2 Headphones are lightweight and have nice reflectors on them. Cons: They are extremely quiet and sound terrible
These headphones are terrible, I can barely hear them when the sound is cranked up on my CD player. My $10 pair do a better job than these. They are lightweight, durable, and portable yes, but the sound quality is absolutely terrible. They look nice,...

Great Workout/Running Headphones
by kdragon ,Apr 17 '06
Pros: Secure, cheap, water-resistant and comfortable. Cons: None.
I bought these headphones for workout and running purposes. For exercise these headphones are great. They stay in place even when running and hearing ambient sound is not a problem. I don't feel unsafe running while wearing these because I can hear the cars and other people around me. At the gym I can listen to other people (for instance, if they want to use a machine I'm on) without taking them off. Since I sweat a lot, the water resistance of the phones is a definite plus. The reflectors on the ear pieces are functional, but I usually don't run at night so their presence is really not that important to me. The cable is a bit long, but it's nice and sturdy and should be able to take some abuse.
The sound quality is fine. I'm not hoping for audiophile quality music when I'm exercising. I can hear the music and it sounds good. I can crank up the volume loud enough to get immersed when I want without any problem.

Not what I expected
by argyfrankie ,Jan 24 '05
Pros: Look good, quality good Cons: Sound does not blow me away
I bought these because they are SONY and I was fed up with over/in ear phones.
Primarily bought for running and for this purpose they function well. There is no problem with even the most rigorous exercise, they stay in place and you do not have to worry about them slipping etc.
However I had expected better sound quality. I use them with my Creative Muvo N200 and the breadth of sound is a little disappointing. I am no expert in this matter but I just thought I would be more impressed.
Look good though and unlike some people I don't have a problem wearing them lying down with the band fitting into the nape of my neck.
