Respectable Blend of Looks and Functionality

by pretendo , Feb 28 '03
Pros: Great looks, switch-able caps, long (braided nylon) cord, sound quality, doesn't mess with hair.
Cons: Uncomfortable after a while, fragile feel, hard to put on/take off, price.
A couple of my friends have had these headphones for sometime, the appearance always struck me as gorgeous and the sound quality wasn't bad at all, but the high price ($29 at Wal-Mart, Target, K-mart) always deterred me. But once my Phillips...

Sony done well.

by mdedwards , Apr 25 '02
Pros: Stylish Good Quality Sound
Cons: Loud to everyone else, Clip on (spring piece) might be irritating, chord tangles
The Sony W.EAR headphones is (are) a very nice piece of hardware. The customizable caps especially drew my attention, as well as the headphone's apparent lightweight design, and the sheer 'coolness factor' of the headphones.

I am still...

Okay but overpriced

by LetItRut Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Apr 28 '01
Pros: Decent sound quality, excellent comfort
Cons: Lacks sufficient bass response
I bought a pair of the cool-looking Sony MDR-Q33LP W.EAR earclip-type headphones from Best Buy to replace a worn-out pair of Koss Porta Pros. I wasn't going to like them at all, considering that they didn't impress me when I had demoed them at Sony...

Sony MDR-Q22LP W.EAR Clip-On Earphones: A Tragedic Saga of Failures, Part 1

by tesseract , Jun 15 '03
Pros: The speakers DO deliver quality sound--
Cons: --you just can't hear it when wearing them normally. Loose fit, tend to fall off.
Preface I have small ears set close to my head, and I’ve had a devil of a time finding the right earphones to wear with my MP3 player. You can’t beat an earbud’s ability to deliver soundwaves directly to your eardrum, but most earbu ...

Pros: Comfortable, good sound, convenient, can hear things going on outside...
Cons: Loud for those sitting near, highs can be slightly tinny... Break easily
Intro:
I had been looking for the KSC-50's (KOSS headphones) for a few weeks and had almost ordered some online. However the other day while I was at A&B sound I found the KSC-50's and these sony clip on headphones. I compared them for about...

Fantastic Headphones

by racyrefinedraj , Dec 30 '01
Pros: Fantastic sound. Great clip-on design. They also look cool
Cons: Headphone cord tends to crease/wind up.
Comfort
It might just be coincidence, but these headphones fit my ear perfectly. If you have any doubts about the fit just ask a sales rep. to crack open a box in the store so you can try them on. You might look at the clip-on design and...

Sony Style? More like Doggy Style.

by statix , Jul 03 '01
Pros: Swap'able color caps, good sound, nice braided cord.
Cons: Flappy "dog-ear" looks, big and heavy, expensive.
I bought into the hype machine that Sony was running up on these headphones too. It was when I saw a beautifully designed Sony website (with pretty Flash animations) entirely devoted to these W.EAR 'phones that I decided that I simply HAD TO get them....

Gotta Love 'Em

by goodsunplugged , Feb 20 '03
Pros: Portable, OverEar, Clear
Cons: Tangles Easily, Doesn't Cancel Sound
I recently purchased the Sony MDR Q33LP/S headphones because I’ve always hated wearing headphones that wrapped over the top of your head. These little guys are wonderful. They snap very comfortably over your ear and don’t fall off unless you...

Good mid-range headphones

by sjg98 , Jul 15 '01
Pros: Comfortable, good sound, good looks
Cons: Not discrete in any way, $30 for headphones
I love these headphones. They sound great, they look good. I love the way they match my Sony MZ-R70 MD's color, it will similarly match the blue R90,R700, or R900. The sound is superior to any headphones that come bundled with cd/md/mp3 players, or...

Sony is too expensive, as usual

by afromaniac , Dec 10 '01
Pros: lightweight, good sound, long attractive cord, interchangeable color headphone caps
Cons: cord tangles easily, painful after a half hour of use, way too expensive
Out of all the Sony paraphernalia I've gotten, the items are always very good -- looking. The best thing I've ever gotten from them is a silver AM/FM CD player, which actually works very well and has good battery conservation powers. The stereo I got...
