Pros: Small size, great battery life, easy to use Cons: Requires SonicStage.
This is a very small MP3 player by Sony. It is actually called a Sony Walkman. What it comes with. The unit itself. A black pouch. USB cable. 1/8 inch headphone cable, male and female ends. 1/8 inch headphones. Installation CD. ...
Pros: Beautiful OLED display, 50 hour battery life, sleek looking design Cons: Slightly expensive, still uses SonicStage, must be charged at a PC
I've had this mp3 player for about a month and a half now, and so far, it's been great. Sony boasts 50 hours of battery life, 1 GB of storage, an FM radio, a sleek and slim design, and a 3 line OLED display, it's main selling point. This player has been ...
Pros: Nice sound, lightweight, intuitive buttons, one hand use, solidly built. Cons: Screen not viewable in daylight, no drag & drop for music files, earbud cable awkward.

Pros: Excellent Battery Life, Great Capacity, Small Form Factor Cons: Limited Accessories, Connect Music Catalog Limited, Not Audible.com Compatible
I remember when the Sony Walkman first debuted. It was revolutionary - a personal music player that was small enough to fit in your hand and allowed you to listen to your music without disturbing anyone around you - amazing! Fast forward several ...
Pros: Compact size, elegant design, ease of use, superb display Cons: Short on accessories, USB cable, no direct MP3 playing capability, supplied software
Sony's portable MP3 player policy has stuttered and stumbled for the last three years. First we had NetMD, the series of MP3-enabled MiniDisc players which, with their flaky software and intrusive copy protection failed to set the world alight. Neither ...
Pros: Sleek style, battery life, skip-free, decent sound, FM RADIO!!!! Cons: Poor software, not easy to use, needs computer to charge, poor headphones
Well I had this thing over a week, so let me tell you what I think about the Walkman NW-E507 1 GB mp3 player. Mind you I also own a 128 MB Rio, 40 GB 3rd Gen iPod, and a 60 GB 5th Gen Video iPod. I bought this for several reasons: 1) I wanted ...
Pros: Portability, Battery life, Display, Ease of use, Radio, Good audio reproduction Cons: Max. 1GB memory, when Apple has made 2GB the benchmark, copy protection on music downloaded
I purchased the Sony NW-E507 just over a month ago. I was considering this against the 2GB iPod Nano and it was a close call as: - Both are flash based players (this is key to me, as I wear it while I am walking, on a plane/bus etc, and never have ...
Pros: Many features, 3 line OLED, sleek, clean, supports MP3 format Finally!!! Cons: SonicStage software, will not play during charge mode, premium price
The first questions from everyone that I've shown this to is "is this a lighter?". Haha, no no, it's an mp3 player. So let's talk about why this is a great product. I've been wanting an mp3 player for a while. I didn't need anything larger than ...
Pros: Display, FM radio, Super Cool Design, "un"random song play Cons: Display had to see in sun light, supplied headphones, usb cable
I finally decided to get w/ the times and get a portable MP3 player. I didn't want to get the Ipod shuffle because I didn't want to fall in the "fad" category. I wanted something small, light, that had great sound. I found all those qualities and more ...
What a great unit! It is nice and compact; the view screen is small but still easily readable. I found the software provided by Sony was very easy to use and had music loaded onto the unit within minutes. I changed out the ear buds and bought a higher quality pair and the difference in the sound quality was amazing.
Sony Bling makes shuffle look like a crackerjack toy by mechno ,Jul 07 '05
Pros: light
sleek
great sound quality
great battery life
great charge time Cons: need software to load music
screen is not visible in sunlight
I got this player because it's gorgeous. I know that it sounds very shallow, but I'm being honest. Luckily, it's a pretty wonderful device all around in addition to being really pretty.
I ended up paying $159 for this baby by waiting for an Amazon.com coupon to come in my email. It's very easy to use with one hand, shows up as a drive (note: files can be transfered via the drive, but music must be loaded via the sony software) the charge time is fast and the charge life is amazing!
The only thing that I was unhappy with is that the screen is impossible to read in just about any daylight. Inside, it's not a problem but outside, forget it.
raver's envy; audiophile's delight by disanpoter ,Aug 28 '06
Pros: quick charge, playtime, lightweight, nice feel, easy interface, durability of electronic components, aesthetic quality, Cons: PC software's options, display can scratch some, water gets under it easily, FM reception weak
With its sleek design and scrolling LED display, this piece is visually stunning and would hardly seem out of place as a bit of high tech bling in a club or other scene. It's aesthetic appeal, however, isn't the half of it. This little MP3 player works fantastically well. Mine features
an FM radio tuner which is awesome, and though, it doesn't pick up signals as well as i'd hoped - it sounds great on the ones i can pick up. The screen is easy to read. The players response to mode changes is quick and smooth, and the toggling design of the control knob makes it easy to navigate without the common issue of overshooting one's target when scrolling through lists.
Pros: 1GB of space, FM radio, Small sleek design, long battery life, price. Cons: It would be cool if you could have exchangeable memory sticks and a wall charger.
I love this thing.
It took me about 3 minutes to figure out how to use it and that was without the instructions.
I was looking for an mp3 player for a trip that I am taking across the country and this one definitely filled the bill. 1GB of space, FM radio, small sleek design, long battery life, pretty good price, the NW-E507 has it all!
First thing I did was download and install all of the updates from the Sony site (something I have learned to do right away) and I was off and running and so far have had zero problems. I will recommend to all of my friends to replace their IPods with this little guy.
Pros: Battery Life. Charges thorough USB. Ergonomics are stellar. Lightweight...COMES WITH A CLIP AND A CASE!!!!! Cons: Reflective display hard to see sometimes.
I have owned many MP3 players, and this is the best one so far! I love the FM tuner, ergonomics and sound quality.
My main disappointment is that the mirror like display is next to impossible to read in the sunlight, or if any light is reflecting off of it.
The software Sony has available is constantly being updated, and it works fine for me. I hate the authorization procedure and still have to mess with that some more.
I bought mine at Best Buy and got the replacement program for 4 years for about $160.00
great other than belt clip by kristenf13 ,Jan 27 '06
Pros: Easy to use. Works awesome. Small. Very cool looking. Cons: Pricy. Cheaply made belt clip. Uncomfortable headphones.
I received my Sony NW-E507 in the mail yesterday. I brought it to the gym with me and used it to tune in the televisions that were set to radio frequencies for listening. (Main purpose I bought the product) LOVE IT! Easy to use. The earbuds are disappointing with the left ear bud being shorter than the right. I kind of understand why it was done but it was a wasted effort. I brought it home after working out and directly went to the computer to register it. I took the belt clip off to get the serial number and the belt clip broke! Very cheaply made belt clip. You are definitely paying for the player itself for the +/-$150 you pay for it. I cannot find another belt clip like it to purchase from Sony or an after market on line. Guess I will have to suffer with a piece of thread holding it on the belt clip.
