Pros: Aluminum shell, tiny, 128MB upgrade, backlit display, simple design Cons: Minor problem with battery life indicator

Pros: Small, Good bit of memory, Great sound, Great jogging companion! Cons: Cheap earphones included, a little pricey
Why did I buy this product?
I am currently working in Beijing as a Foreign English teacher and I spend a lot of time in the office grading papers. The office that I am in has 13 other people who all like to listen to music. The problem is that...
Pros: Light, Small, Stylish, Backlight Cons: Expensive, Earphones, Easily Dents, expensive memory stick, No Play time, Takes forever to transfer music
Expensive
Sony must be making a hell of a profit from this little player. $300 for this small thing? You'd be better off just buying a mini disk player. Most mp3 players range anywhere from 100~170. Just make sure no one picks it up from you...
Pros: Small, tough, works great time after time Cons: finish scuffs easily, using Open MG
I bought this player on ebay to use exclusively while I run. I opted for this model because it appeared to be just about new, with all the original equipment, an extra battery and three 128MB memory sticks. I use other Sony equipment (PDA, camera and ...
Pros: Good compact design. Cons: Bad software with Sony proprietary format and copyright restrictions.
The best thing about the Sony NW-MS11 is its size. The player measures 36x81x14mm. It is well designed which makes it easy to use while jogging and working out. It has see-saw type switches and has a lockout mechanism that prevents inadvertent use. ...
When I was looking for an MP3 player the MS11 immediately caught my eye, its sleek and stylish skip-proof design makes it the perfect for anyone is looking for a player with portability and storage space. The player comes with a 64 megabyte magicgate...
Pros: small size, good sound, sleek design Cons: battery connection/life
I bought the nw-ms11 from refurbdepot.com, which could of been the problem all along, but who knows. I love the look, sound, and size of the mp3 player. It started out working fine although the 10 hr playback was bull. 4 to 5 hrs is all I got out of it ...
Pros: SIZE!!!, Expandable Memory, Superior Durability, Rechargeable Battery, Backlit LCD Display. Cons: What Cons?
Hello. This is my fourth MP3 player to date and just happens to be my third SONY. I was recently in the market for a new MP3 player, so i did some research. I am a loyal sony customer, so obviously i was drawn to SONY from the start. From the moment I...
a good choice for common entertainment by myrtilla ,Jul 15 '08
Pros: light, small, long battery life. Cons: small storage capacity.
This is my birthday present when I was 14. At that time, MP3 is still a new product. Although this model is kind of old now, It still has some pros. Also, in my opinion, it is a good choice for common entertainment.
One of the most important pro is its value, it is just about forty dollars when I was 14 year old. Now it must be much cheaper. Many of students can afford it.
Besides that, its storage capacity is 128 MB. That means it can be put about 32 songs. I think it is enough for common entertainment when you are boring, for instance, when you are in the bus.
Furthermore, the dimensions of this MP3 player is small, and it is light. its size is small enough to put in your bag and your pocket. It is very convenient that you can put it in everywhere. It won't use so much space.
Last, its battery life is durable, about 10 hours. This is the most thing that I appreciate. Cheap, small, but its battery life is long. As a result, if you just want some common entertainment, I suggest you choose this MP3 player.
The sound quality is great... by drdoug_dt3000 ,Feb 16 '03
The sound quality is great but for what it costs...the eearphones are gutless and the battery doesn't hold a charge anymore even after only 30 charge cycles (properly run down and fully charged...) Also the charger lacks any kind of status indicators.
I love everything about the little guy, especially once I bought some high-end earphones with noise-cancelling properties. The walkman has a back-lit display, 128 MB memory stick that holds a few hours of music (depending on quality), a rechargable battery (about the size of a stick of gum) that'l last for 10 hours, and can be easily connected to a computer via the USB cable for quick music downloads. As long as you shop around, this is one great deal.
Has great sound. The mp3 has outstanding looks. Its perfect for just about any thing. It is easy to use and fun to have. The only bad thing is dosen't have FM stero. You will forget about it because you will be having so much fun!!

I'm serious when I say the battery life sucks. I ALWAYS hvae to recharge it. I even sent it back to have the battery unit changed.. it still sucks. I have to recharge it after about 1 hr of play time. barely enough time to finish my workout.. get one w/ a better battery life and a clip-on thingy.
Sound quality is good and... by punky_dt3000 ,Feb 06 '03
Sound quality is good and the player is easy to use. Software that is provided to download music is cumbersome. MP-3 files must first be converted to a different format before being downloaded to the player. Consequently, transferring songs to the player takes quite a long time. The display is pleasing to the eye but quite small. The features are adequate but there is nothing special. There is no tuner or clock. The rechargeable battery seems to constantly need re-charging. Even with these problems, I would be happy with the unit if it would only turn on. It quit working after 3 months of regular use. I mostly used it while jogging and working out. I sent it to Sony to be repaired under warranty. They refused to fix it or replace it, stating that the player contained water damage. If the unit contained water damage it was from normal use. Calls and letters to customer service were of no help. It is still light weight but now the sound quality is silent and the display is dark.
