Sony VAIO FXA59 PC Notebook

Pros: Light weight, comfortable keyboard and GREAT screen!
Cons: Hard drive crashed, battery only last 20 minutes after 1.5 years of minimum usage.

I purchased my Sony Vaio nearly two years ago and was very pleased with the performance of the machine for about 11 months. At that time the system began to lock up for no apparent reason. A few months later my hard drive crashed and I was not able to restore the system with the system CD's.

Sony recommended I send it to San Diego for repair. I recently installed a new hard drive and a new memory chip. The system still freezes for no apparent reason. My next step is a new motherboard!!! Also my battery only lasts for about 20 minutes now. It was hardly used at all.

Think twice about a Sony Vaio.......
