This is one tough little computer. I have owned this little computer since new in 2002. It went on a 30,000-mile motorcycle trip around the country with me and endured very extreme elements that almost took me down. It has gone with me everywhere and I keep it in my backpack, since it's small enough to fit and light enough to carry.
Many people have tossed my backpack around, not knowing there is a computer in it, and it has endured every hit and drop.
It just recently was in a motorcycle accident that totalled my bike, and almost me. I suffered a fractured pelvis, compound fracture of the right femur and a shattered left forearm. My Sony Vaio was on the back of the bike and survived without a scratch.
Girls love it since it's small. It draws their attention like a cute little puppy.
The external DVD is great since I rarely use it.
I still love my tough little laptop and I am finally buying it a new battery.
