Pros: The games (MGS4, Echchrome, etc.)! The HD technology (Blu-ray, high-caliber graphics, etc.)! Home "free" Home! Cons: Most quality games late to the party. Its price may put you into cardiac arrest.
"Who knew?" That's what everyone used to talk about. Really, who knew that a giant of the electronic industry could topple competitors long entrenched in the video game wars not once, but two times in a row? Certainly not Nintendo, who stood atop their ...
Pros: A very advance and powerful console with a lot of different features. Cons: The graphics don't look much better then the Xbox 360 titles.
Ever since Sony got their start in 1995 they been on a huge role and in only a few years they even managed to become the number 1 name in the gaming business beating out heavy hitters like Nintendo, Sega, and Microsoft. Now the highly anticipated ...
Pros: Best Blu-Ray player out there now! Cons: Not too many compelling games out currently.
Sony's Playstation moniker in the console gaming circle is legendary, almost quickly taking the fame away from Nintendo. Ask any kid today, and most likely they started out with one of Sony's previous Playstation generations. Not to play on words, but ...
Pros: backwards compatibility, free online play, built-in HDD & wireless options standard, largely future-proof, best value Cons: limited library, differences in backwards compatibility can be confusing, most expensive initial cost
I am a self-proclaimed gaming addict. So, I've never been one limit myself to any one system. I currently have all the next gen consoles (Wii, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3)on the market. There are a few major differences between each console that, in the ...
Pros: innovative technology, user friendliness, upcoming game releases Cons: Online system needs work
The first time I came across a Playstation 3 that I could get a really good run down of happened a few months before I decided to purchase my own. My friend purchased a PS3 and lent it to me for a short time so I could test out Resistance: Fall of man(a ...
Pros: The potential is there. Its going to get better. I hope. Cons: The games are not up to speed yet. Controller seems flimsy. No wireless LAN.

Pros: Bluray player, versitile machine, wireless controllers, built-in wifi Cons: potentially heat, size, mediocre game library at the moment
Just looking at the price tag of a Playstation 3 [PS3] is enough to give all but the bravest heart problems, but owning one makes up for it and then some.Unlike earlier systems, the PS3 costs a fortune. It's expensive for the consumer, but early ...
Pros: Excellent Quality Blu-Ray player, Game Console,& Media Center for your photos & music Cons: Needs Remote ($25),
Why Playstation for a Blu-Ray Player? Well, I purchased the Playstation 3 about a month ago because I had made the decision to go with the Blu-Ray (BD)format. I intend to get a BD burner for my PC so that I can author BD discs of my HDV ...
Pros: High in graphics. Blu-ray standard. Rechargable controller. Stylish. Cons: Expensive upgrade. Online updates required to watch certain Blu-rays. Loud operation.
I first came accross this gaming monster back in 2006, when it was first introduced to North America. It was a cold and snowing November. The system was barley out for two weeks, and I managed to locate one of these elusive monsters. Wal-mart had six in ...
Pros: Great Hardware, nice overall experience Cons: Expensive, lack of enough good titles
I have had my PS3 for almost a year now. I chose the PS3 over the Wii and XBox360 after reviewing the specs of all three and my preferences. I have not regretted (yet) my decision, and here's why: Wii: Much to "kiddie" for me. The idea of their ...
Pros: Outstanding graphics, Wireless controllers, New games Cons: The pricing is sky-high, put out new games too slowly
The predecessor, the playstation 2 has served me well. It has come back from the dead too many times for me to count. Granted, the thing was held together by nothing more than my own sheer will to play with it. Literally, its screws are gone, the ...
Pros: Blu-ray, high quality performance, basically like a big computer, very nice graphics Cons: Prices, very noisy, bulky, not very many 2-4 player games
Is the price worth the quality? Sony came out with four different types of Playstation 3s, a 20 GB, 40GB, 60GB, and 80 GB; there are many differences between them that need knowing. All come standard with a cell broadband engine, Blu-Ray disc player, ...
Pros: Multi-regional, Reasonably Priced, Blu-ray, HD, Card Reader, Massive Hard Drive, Wireless Enabled Cons: Some compatibility issues with old PS1 and PS2 Games, Not many games available
The long awaited Playstation 3 is finally available in all stores and prices are steadily decreasing. I bought the PS3 as an upgrade to my previous consoles (The PS2 and Nintendo Wii). Being a heavy gamer, having the latest and most popular games ...
Pros: the best system for its money, and with free internet that is just another plus. Cons: None that i could find!
Overview: I have had the ps3 going on a year now and I have to say it has the best graphics, games and features than any other system that is out now. When I got the system I got it for gaming but now I use it for several things like pictures, music, ...
Pros: Game Variety, Bluray,7 other processors, free online play, and an unbelievable high defenition experience. Cons: Expensive, but have come down in price, could use more 3rd party games.
So far I have read how it is only marginally better than the graphics put out by the other machines. This is due in part to its later release than the Xbox 360. Personally I love this console I have 22 games. Games like Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Unreal ...
Pros: Plays DVD's, Blue-Rays and is backwards compatible for PS2 and PS1 games, and is wireless! Cons: Stock controllers are not rumble equipped, wireless network card has issues authenticating to secure network.
By far the Play Station Three is the best gaming system out there! 100% wireless! The 60 gig hard drive is more than enough storage as well. This model plays DVD's, Blue-Rays, and is backwards compatible for PS2 and PS1 ...
Pros: You can surf the web, download demos games, get hints, tricks and lots more. Cons: The games are pricey for this system. So I would suggest to rent games first.
Our experience with this unit has been great. We love this unit due to the awesome graphics, wireless capabilities and use abilities. The blue-ray disc player capabilities are great and we use it regularly. It has brought gaming to a whole new level. It ...
Pros: Excellent video output (both gaming and BluRay), easy to use. Cons: Initial cost (this has come down as it always does).
Sure it cost me a considerable amount of money and I had to wait in line for hours to get one, but once I got it home and plugged it in, it was well worth the wait. If you don't have a HDTV, don't bother reading further. I have seen them on regular TV's ...
Pros: Fantastic graphics, quick loading and excellent controller Cons: The console takes up a bit of space
From the second the rather large and quite heavy box was opened I was in awe. It is a beast of a machine and I managed to get my hands on the 60gb version. For the gaming geeks - the machine boasts a 512mb memory purely for graphics and system ...
Pros: More then just a gaming console Cons: May break.
The playstation three is one of the best gaming consoles ever made. Not only is the playstation three a gaming console, but you can go on the internet, watch blue ray dvd's on it, and you can store things inside of the playstation. For example, pictures, ...
Pros: Light, easy to use and carry, nice features, looks cute. Cons: I has to be charged from USB since it does not come with a charger.
I was searching on line for different MP3 players I thought this one was too basic or older model; but then I was in Wal-Mart and I actually saw it and realize how small and light was it. I was really surprised. I realized it would be much easier to ...
Pros: Great multipurpose console Cons: Mine and many others have failed
Having purchased the 80 gig version of the PS3, I was ecstatic to see how great it played games, BluRay discs, and even automatically logged into the internet..... Then.... after 3 months it died. I went on line to the Sony website forums and discovered I was not alone. Many, many people were having problems. I started a thread to gather information but the Sony diehards started aguing about failure rates and the thread got locked. I started another thread and have managed to keep the 'bad guys' at bay. At present there are over 1770 posts with people asking what to do about their broken PS3. http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&thread.id=2749209
Sony has been getting better at turn around times but still refuses to acknowledge any responsibility for defective components, which are centered on the disk reading components.
The problems have often appeared just after a system upgrade, which is downloaded from your wireless network internet connection. A game will lose audio and then lock up. After restarting the console, you can no longer read any discs. Other failures center around frequent freezing of games or complete frequent shutdowns. The system runs VERY HOT.
Fantastic mp3 player, could not ask for anything more by jacques79 ,Dec 20 '07
Pros: Size and weight, sound quality, ease of use, sexy design Cons: can't think of any
I've had about 10 MP3 players over the last 6-7 years, ranging from 50$ to 300$ and this is hands down the best sounding, lightest, smallest and easiest to use of them all.
On top of that it was also the cheapest at about 45$ CAN.
The sound quality is astonishing, my expectations were really low since it's a tiny MP3 flash player and all, but....wow! You won't believe the clarity that comes out of any decent speakers, and the bass is pretty good too.
It's main feature is it's tiny size and weight which make it PERFECT for the gym.
Battery life is 10-15 hours, which is good for 5-6 workouts before needing a quick 3 hours charge. Excellent.
FM radio quality is very good and easy to use, plus you can record music directly from any radio station: fantastic for those times when you love a song but don't know the title and want to listen to it over and over.
I could honestly not ask for anything better, this mp3 player does everything well at a ridiculously cheap price.
Even if it was over 100$ I would still buy it again.
Pros: Excellent sound quality, ,graphic equalizer, ease of use, Voice recorder. Big bang for the buck. Cons: None I can think of.
This cheap priced 1 gb MP3 player has everything you need and more. Sound quality is excellent, price for what you get is incredible. FM radio with 40 pre sets, voice recording, equalizer, sexy blue backlight, able to record off built in FM radio. I payed $35 for this little wonder, my daughters have 8 gb I pods and I think the sound is better on the Sansa.I wouldn't feel so bad if I lost it since it only cost $35, now I couldn't say that about a $200 plus MP3 player. I bought this to listen to music on my motorcycle for long road trips and it fits the bill perfectly. Small and easy to use, able to clip on or fit in a shirt pocket. The clip is a great feature for someone using it for workouts or jogging. And considering the $200 plus I pods don't have this. I'll take the Sansa clip anyday over the others. If you want to watch videos then this 1gb model isn't for you, but if you just want a great sounding player that can hold @ 250 songs then this gem fits the bill. Sansa got it right.
Pros: Reads Blue-ray(BD), Free internet gaming, Built by Sony, Sony has always had great game/developers. Cons: Have to by remote, should buy an HDMI cable if you want the best picture,
I sell TV's and Electronics at a little independant store. We sell Blue-ray players fro $500 and up. If you want to use the 1080P capabilities of your tv, then this is a great investment! Around here (southern NH), the cable company does not offer 1080p (best is 1080i), FULL HD is sooooo much better than regular HD (720p or 1080i)the FULL HD is such a crisp life-like(almost 3d)picture.
I haven't had any problems with my PS3 yet, i've had it for 3 months now. I agree with some of the other reviewers with not getting the intercooler. it is a waste of money, as long as your house is not 90 degrees you should be fine.
btw shhhhh I got my ps3 for FREE! if you go to the link below, you have can get one too. you have to sign up for a stupid 30 day free trial(i did the stamps.com one) and refer some people. but i had all of my referals in a week. not bad. it sounds like a scam, but look into it. its really not, it just a little bit of work. :)
