    Pros: The pro is that it was not bought by me-no loss of $$$$.
    Cons: Very very difficult to play anything, let alone record something.

    Pros: enhances images from old DVDs
    Cons: I haven't figured out how to get title lists; quite finicky about specks of dirt

    Pros: At first glance, the unit looks nice and has lots of promising features
    Cons: None of the promising featues work!  unit freezes, vhs does not play well

    Summary: Purchased this unit because it was a sony and expected a high quality item.  From the begining, the unit was freezing on DVDs, would not eject dvd without unplugging unit, does not play VHS properly, no sound because of auto tracking problems.  ... read more

    Pros: Like I said, my 12 yead old daughter got it up and running.
    Cons: It just stopped working.
