"SORRY!" What a polite way to win a game

by cookmama , Apr 11 '07
Pros: This is a fun way to get young children to learn math.
Cons: The box to store the game does not hold up to good.
Sorry, a “game of sweet revenge”, is what it says on the box. There is a lot of truth to that saying because when playing the game there is that person in mind that you will want to pay back for knocking your man back to start. There is ...

by calwaone Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Jan 10 '07
Pros: GAMES OF SHEER LUCK, GIVE CHILDREN A CHANCE TO WIN FAIRLY!
Cons: THERE ARE NONE!
My five yr old grandson had a problem with counting items in a row. He would slide his fingers ahead, and miss counting items correctly, in his homework for kindergarten. I bought him a game of Sorry for Christmas, and we have been playing this board ...

A child psychologist's view

by dolphinboy , Jul 07 '06
Pros: Lots of fun, helps teach decision-making and planning
Cons: Game-board will eventually wear out, if used often
I didn't know this game as a child, but have found it extremely valuable in my work with emotionally disturbed children. I'll describe the game briefly, then give my reasons for having rated it highly for educational value. The game is a variation of ...

I was Sorry! as a Kid, and now I’m Sorry! as an Adult

by lynus Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Mar 13 '03
Pros: Family fun, easy to learn, a game to pay attention to.
Cons: Possible revenge motif.
Sorry! is one of those board games that just about any kid will remember playing and never forget as they age through the years. As an adult it feels that Monopoly is too long and too much about commerce, Twister requires all participants to be in good...

Sorry: A Great Example of a Family Game

by beckish Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Sep 19 '02
Pros: Wholesome family fun
Cons: None
An old expression is "the family that plays together stays together." Trite perhaps, but also a very true expression. Quality time spent together as a family is a very important part of family life. I think it becomes increasingly important as the...

by kjell1979 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Jul 31 '02
Pros: easy to learn and play, quick games, not too many parts
Cons: loses interest in teenagers, small tokens can get swallowed
What Do You Mean Sorry?

Sorry is a game similar to Parcheesi. Your goal is to move all 4 of your pieces from your starting area to your home base. You move only one of your four pieces at a time (unless instructed otherwise)...

You're snot sorry at all!

by catrilla , Jul 02 '02
Pros: Great for children over the age of 6.
Cons: Pieces fit up the nose, children love this trick.
Children love this game! It's simple. It's easy. You don't get too bored playing it over and over again.

There are little pieces that get lost but there are no cards to pick up (from under coffee tables/recliners) and no ear-whollapers....
