Pros: durable, lightweight, snug fit, comfortable straps, cool. Cons: can't figure out what the "Brain Trust" knob does.
Choosing a mountain biking helmet pretty much comes down to a few important details... Weight, Durability, and Fit, and I give the Specialized Enduro Pro high marks in those three categories:
Pros: Hayes hydraulic Brakes!! 1 finger lockups at speed! XTR rear. Cons: Low BB height. Tires had to go. Upgrade the seat.
Purchased new @ Domonic's - Tempe,AZ in 2000. This thing has taken everything Phoenix trails can throw at it. Big hits on National(South Mountain), and sweet handling on Desert Classic and Hawes/TRW. Great for technical rides like Estrella and McDowell Mtn's. Flagstaff and Sedona rides were a joy (Schultz Pass and Cathedral Loop). Very good climber up to the top of Flagstaff's Elden Mtn and takes all the big hits on the Organ Donor/Sunset Loop/Little Bear trails. FAST and controllable on the downhills. My hardtail friends hate me. I love this Cadillac. The bike sits you a little up-right in the cockpit which will save your lower back on longer rides (Pemberton). I would recommend the Enduro for most anyone looking for an all around punisher.
